Yeah I've been keeping an eye on the local freegle groups but I haven't had much luck when I've asked for things so we've had to go out and buy stuff, but most of it esp lately has been paid for with vouchers from surveying (like the table and chairs last week).
if we pay cash for things we keep a tally and if we've spent similar amounts we leave it, if one of us has spent considerably more than the other then we try to even it out the next month, although most of the time it works out roughly equal. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Urgh remind me not to agree to cover a morning shift again! Got home about 4, then popped out to do a quick ms, get weighed and buy this weeks Times book. Came home and had to go for a nap, woke up again about 8 when the boy came home from his run.
So lazy tea of pizza which I really shouldn't have had since I've put back on 1lb this week (I'm blaming it on drinking lots of water at work coz it's so warm and I usually get weighed first thing in the morning). And have some flapjack cooling as I wanted to use up the last of the oats before I put the new bag in the pot, if this batch isn't well bound together I'll be buying a deeper silicon baking dish for it as I actually bothered to follow the receipe quantities this time! It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Def need a deeper dish for the flapjack as it crumbled again. In my search for a possibly more successful reciepe I found an interesting looking one for cheese flapjacks, which I think I might give a go as the boy loves eating cheese and isn't a big fan of sweet things.
Got a couple of ms to do in my home town tomorrow and then will have to get out to the local DIY store to buy a cordless drill to fix the bike anchor to the wall. Had a request on my local freegle group for a loan of one for a week or so now and had no replies, and it would cost as much to hire one for the day as it does to buy!
Still working on getting all my ebooks listed on goodreads in hopes of keeping track of just how many books I'm reading at the moment, but I have about 100 listed so far so only another 500 to go!It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

when i have made flap jacks my problem has been that they kinda didn't set, ie they were very sticky. Not very helpful for the DS's lunch boxes.
I was sure you had a way of working out the finances so that they were equitable, but it doesn't hurt to check your assumptions!

Overall he generally spends slightly more than I do, which is how it should be since he earns considerably more than I do (but equally has larger debts to cover).
I used to make flapjack quite regularly and fairly successfully back at my Dad's house but just can't get it right since I moved here, I figure part of the problem was the change in oven, but it's baked now rather than burning or under cooked but just won't stick so am thinking deeper dish and press it together harder before I bake it and hopefully it'll hold together. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

if it was sticky maybe use less syrup or slightly more oats to dry the mixture out slightly? It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Done todays ms, spent more than I planned to in the poundshop but am home with a silicone 'loaf' tray to try making flapjack in, so will give that a try tomorrow morning. Need to get changed shortly to go to work via homebase for the drill. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Another overtime shift done. Once again spent wondering what sort of parents think it's normal to keep children ranging from age 11 to 15 months in a bar until 11pm?
Had the older two asking me if there was anything they could help me with because they were bored.
And on the way out the parents asked me why noone except them ever bothers to go in the place in an evening.....well it obviously wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that most of the people around at a weekend don't want to spend their evening in a bar surrounded by children now would it!It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Still not collected the drill, but its my day off tomorrow so I'll find time in my busy schedule of sitting on my backside watching telly to drive down to the shop and get it.
Might see if I can rearrange a couple of mystery shops to get them done too, but I'm quite looking forward to a day doing absolutely nothing since its my first day off in 2 weeks (roll on payday again, the overtime will be a nice lump again this month).
Had a couple of slightly odd conversations at work today too, made me realise just how lucky I am that society in the UK is so relaxed - the new girl at work is Nepalese and she was shocked that my parents would allow me to even spend an evening alone with my oh before we were married never mind live together (I didn't dare tell her that we actually aren't married!) and a similar one with one of the Middle Eastern customers, he'd overheard part of the conversation and was also fairly surprised. I actually left work feeling like some kind of scarlet woman, lol. On the upside I've arranged to go diving with said middle eastern customer when he's back from a trip in a couple of weeks, we've been intending to make arrangements for a while but neither of us have had weekends off to actually go do it yet. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
