I ctrl clicked on the link and it did work, however, I'm using a mac so not sure if pc's could open with a right mouse click? Perhaps try the link direct (if that's allowed!)

A couple of sticks of rhubarb will make 2 individual sized portions - my DH seems to like the crumble topping more than the fruit so he doesn't mind a thinner layer! Do you have any other fruit? Rhubarb does go nicely with apples and pears, and I have combined tinned and fresh fruit together in the past. Your other option maybe something like an upside down rhubarb pudding or a clafoutis (rhubarb cooked down, placed in bottom of dish and topped with a sweet batter mix and baked)? Both will work with less fruit.Sometimes, I can't see the wood for the trees - or the couscous for the quinoa... 3 no spends so far for August 2011!0 -
It's cos you put in the link to the whole page rather that just photo itself, Lizzie - I'll copy it here so people can click on linkie and see it that way

That is really rather impressive, Lizzie - mine's all over the place, but I'll deliver my part of the bargain soon0 -
Thanks Allegra - you beat me to it!
It is confession time though. Drove to Mr T with DH this morning as he needed some new shoes and I folded. The bargains called.... I have failed. Here is what I got.

6 x Ainsley Harriot Mexican tomato cup a soups (4 pack) 13p per pack
5 x tins Campbells condensed celery soup 12p per tin

Bramble, I'm not a 'sweet' things person so they will be fantastic to take to work as a snack, and I can use the condensed soups as a base for my ton of pasta
Enjoy hobbycraft - my DS is booking her wedding venue tomorrow and I imagine that is somewhere where I shall definitely be visiting on a regular basis. I'm making up a sample of a satin rose bouquet for her as she is planning opulence on a budget!. I am hoping to stud each rose centre (we are looking around 50) with a swarofski-type crystal and include some form of pearl/other gem drapes over and around the bouquet. Will post a picture if it looks any good!Sometimes, I can't see the wood for the trees - or the couscous for the quinoa... 3 no spends so far for August 2011!0 -
That sounds lovely!!! I have this amazing plan that i'll do homemade this christmas, i want to make everyone their own stocking and fill it with goodies like homemade fudge, chutney etc. Hopefully it all goes to plan!
OH is having a good day, (and it's a non spend day too!) his dad is a photographer so he'll got free entry into the photo pit bit at silverstone today. so no doubt i will have to go round tomorrow to look at the photos!
I need to buy a throw for our sofa today too.... white sofa with a dog and farmer was not one of my better choicesAnnual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

The stockings sound great. Something I have done in the past is 'soup in a jar'. Layer a glass jar (jam/coffee - whatever) with soup mix (pearl barley, red lentils, small pasta shapes) and dried vegetables (onions etc.) I add a little bag of herbs (and sometimes a stock cube) with handwritten instructions and ideas for things to add to the soup for different flavours. The layering looks really pretty and it is certainly a thoughtful and useful gift - 'Bramble's barley broth' anyone?!Sometimes, I can't see the wood for the trees - or the couscous for the quinoa... 3 no spends so far for August 2011!0

That sound really good! i've heard of cookie mix jars too, but think soup would go down well with the dads!
I found a pattern for a canvass shopper which i was going to do for the mums too. So i've decided on a rhubarb and apple crumble, which we can have for after our stew tomorrow (do i make it today or tomorrow? )Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

Still loving this thread, and LizzieB..........wow absolutely wow!0

Bags are always good - eco friendly and useful. Potato and onion bags are good too, and very useful as they keep both dark and fresh. Easy too - school 'pump bag' type shape with a drawstring at the top. Lakeland has them at the moment for £5.95 so you make them at a fraction of the price!
Have a good afternoon - am off to watch the unforgettable Keith Floyd and dream of my idyllic escape (more on that soon...!)Sometimes, I can't see the wood for the trees - or the couscous for the quinoa... 3 no spends so far for August 2011!0
