Xbox 360, if you can afford £425 + £50 then the PS3 could be yours, the Xbox 360 has so great games out for it and most can be picked up for £30-35 if you shop around.

PS3 games will be £50 for awhile till PS3 become more popular, PS3 will sell out when released in the UK, I cant see Sony building enough to meet demand.

The Wii is great but abit price when you add games and extra pads ( wiimote etc.)

Also the 360 has teething probs and I can see the PS3 having the same, reports of it over heating, so importing one and you wont get a warranty.
    Total CC Debt: £1750
    Overdraft £1300
    Car Loan £1750

    Savings £0
    Redundancy OCT £2000
    Wage this month £540

  • I would look at the console that had games I liked the most and get that - after all it is about the quality of the games?

I know that many people will buy the XBox 360 because of the two upcoming Halo games - can't really blame them as they previous ones have been fun. I on the other hand need to save up for a better pc so hence cannot afford both :(

Even £24 if you look on eBay. I recently bought Ghost Recon for £24, and Saints Row for £28.

Basically wait a month, someone will have completed the game and will want to sell it on.

the answer is always to wait.
    (a) because it will get cheaper
    (b) there is rarely any TOP quality games on release
    (c) remember Lawbag's Golden Gaming Law - live in the past, and you'll live like a king - buy all those Gamecubes and X-boxes games for next to nothing as everyone scrambles to buy next gen.

Oh and the Nintendo WII, is basically a re-badged revamped Gamecube anyhow with a wonderful? new controller.
