got to be done :T afew lemon curd if no jam:p

Ooh Yes, lemon curd. Freakily I bought a jar the last time I went shopping, hadn't had it for years before then!
And you're doing extras? I was just gonna have pie!

Roasties are really easy especially as the oven will already be on, as I said Aunt Bessie has been kind enough to do me some Yorkshires and the sweetcorn is in a tin so it's not really any extra work.

My motto is that it's not worth cooking unless you roll around in pain 5 minutes after you've eaten it due to sheer quantity so will need to bulk out the pie a bit!

Well, I'm not doing extras, I've got enough to cope with making the pie. :o I don't reckon I'll be able to eat half of mine, even on its own. :p
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

That's a great idea you didn't tell me about soon enough.

Grate cheese into it and make cheese straws.

make a nice sculpture for the top of the pie instead :)

    .... this should be good:D

Doesn't the pastry shapes on top of a pie denote its contents.:D

Lots of blackberries on the bushes still, if you have sugar you will score extra for HM jam! :p

Cheese straws are also a great idea. I wonder what toffee cheese straws would be like.......

If you do have too much pie, you could freeze half for next week (if its any good)

If you don't have cheese/jam/lemon curd handy and a chicken shape is a little out of your pastery chef range then do your name.

But if your doing a pie really you should utilise your oven to the (mse) fullest. An easy pud or an extra meal to popin the freezer please!
