Another UU - (well, if im honest I chucked the bottle at a HUGE spider who was sat in middle of the bathroom stopping me getting out of the bath (REALLY dont do house-spiders, am ok with most others!) and the top came off, thus covering the tiles with oil) body lotion of an unlabelled type. On the plus side, i now have a well moisturised house spider, and its done a lovely job on the cork tiles..... :o

I managed to clear a large box of toiletries today, gave to DD who has just left for uni - 4 shower gels, shampoo conditioner, liquid soap, cotton pads, cotton buds, moisturisers, wipes, toothpaste/brushes, hair products, etc. Still loads left but at least I have a gap where the box was. Down to my last 30-35 shower gels:eek: Do you count trial sizes as full ones - not sure?

Mention earlier on of the Boots pre-christmas shopping evenings and their usual points bonus has reminded me that I will need to start putting together a list of anything I will need to stock up on by then - I shall do the same as I did last year and combine christmas gift buying with stocking up on essentials to make the £50 spend and net the extra points. Those points will then be put towards stuff I need as the year rolls on.

That's what I do too. I did wonder whether now I'm doing this challenge should I still do the christmas shopping evening but if it's carefully thought out to combine the purchase of gifts and essential stuff for the coming months then I think it's justified. Not that I probably need to buy much stuff for the coming months judging by my stash:rotfl:. If you go to a large store you can also buy non-toiletry things like greetings cards. I've seen some cosy knitted boots for £15 and included in the 342 on the Boots website that look warm and comfy to wear in the house with jeans/leggings during the winter. I wonder whether you can get these in store? I'm terrible when it comes to Xmas shopping, as I keep seeing things that I want and end up treating myself!

  :jWelcome Newbies! :j   I do love a good list! :)

I am struggling on the UUs this month but I have loads of things "on the verge" so maybe I'll end up with a bumper crop of UUs next month instead. :D

I managed to get through Beauty Day on QVC without buying anything but I still *wish* I'd bought a couple of the things they showed. :o I also went to the CCS shop in Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth but wasn't really tempted by anything. I did have a squirt of Prescriptives Calyx though. I've always wanted to try that. (It didn't grab me. :o:()

morning all. Another UU here (looks like we are having a good month!)

UU: Clynol Flat Iron Spray - WIBA? no - does the job but so do cheaper ones!

have a couple of things that I should hopefully finish over the next few days - will report back!

  • I'm going through a barren patch with the UU, need to get back into the system of using them up.

I have one new in but it's a trial product, a cellulite cream so am looking forward to seeing if this is any good!!

I bought a few items of make up in Dublin in Penneys (Primark) but they were 50cent each so it would have been wrong not too! But the toiletries and other items we bought over there (shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, instant tan, razors etc) were all left behind so not counting those!

Now the weather's bad I am consciously putting on more lip moisturiser (the simple freebie - i love this!!) and the lip butter from BS (not too keen on this, a bit too greasy for me) but I will perservere and use these up.

My sisters have gone back to Uni now so I'm alone in the house with my parents attempting to start saving again (!) but they are glad that not a million bottles of shampoo will be open at once and I can get a clutter free bathroom again (yay!)

    Have a good day girls!x

I've come through my barren patch re: UU's and can report four this week :-

Small tube of Soap & Glory Hand Food hand cream. WIBA? No, it was too greasy and didn't absorb at all. This is the first product of theirs that I've been disatisfied with though.

125ml bottle of Elemis Nourishing Milk Bath WIBA? No, I think I still have some in my stockpile but I don't see the appeal anymore. Much prefer Philosophy's Fresh Cream shower gel.

small tub of TBS Love etc Body Butter WIBA? Yes, love this fragrance though won't get it yet as I have a stash of them (not Love Etc unfortunately)

small tube of Crabtree & Evelyn foot scrub WIBA? No, ended up just using it on my body but it was so dry and scratchy it was an effor to use.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!
