No Buying Toiletries In September Challenge!

I'm researching no-nasties toiletries ranges, as I'd like to use only those when my current stash is used up. There's a long time until then, though!
IlonaRN, please let us know which brand you decide to use in the end. I am looking for a no nasties range too.No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23
Boots points:£39.21. Extra money in 2012:£674.59. In 2013 £603.48. 2014: £85. 2015: £0 :j0 -
Not exactly a purchase I made but one for me, a can of batiste dry shampoo the tropical scented one - wouldn't usually have picked it up but it was 60p because it's lost its lid - said lid was in pieces on the back of the shelf so I reckon it should still be full or near full rather than having been half used by people testing the scent. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

I gave away two large bottles of Tresemme shampoo, which no longer suit my hair. (I have a third bottle of Sunsilk to give away as well, but I'm not going to count that until it's gone.)
In return, I have been given two bottles of Liz Earle toner, and a bottle of well posh Ojon shampoo. What a kind person my benefactor is!Please call me 'Pickle'

I still have about 10 perfume oils on my dressing table from my Dad/brothers many trips abroad, so I haven't actually ordered from them - but this site has had alot of good reviews on MSE.
I've seen perfume oils mentioned a few times on here and it has made me curious. Thanks for the link to the website - I will definitely give this a whirl at some point. I'll try using up my current perfumes first, of course, but next time I get a fancy for some new perfume I'll consider perfume oils instead.0 -
I had a UU last night: 100 ml M&S Lily Handcream. WIBA? No, no, no! I'm so proud of myself for using this up. I liked it to begin with but then decided I didn't like the fragrance. I therefore transferred it from my drawer at work to my bedside drawer.
I intended to buy Radox handwash refill this month (only 99p for 500 ml from Home Bargains) but they hadn't got any in stock the last time I visited there. The dispenser in the kitchen ran out today and so I've added Gilchrist and Soames Spa Therapy Body Wash (hotel freebies) from two miniature bottles (60 ml in total).0 -
I'm starting to think about what I will put on my Xmas want list if anybody asks! I automatically think about toiletries but should I be putting them on the list this year? I will have to have a careful look at my stash to check what I definitely don't need more of and to see if there are any areas that it wouldn't hurt to add to. I'd be interested to know what toiletries you ladies are dreaming of opening on Xmas Day...0

A disappointing given-up rather than used-up:
Rimmel french manicure (Rose Praline) - WIBA nope. A very thin product with a glittery finish. Nope given up with that horrible stuff.
Anyone know of any Clarins offers on at the moment? I need to buy some cleanser.
I've managed to get one of those Telegraph papers today with the £5 off for Body Shop so will use that to get my day cream.
I'm low on conditioner so will root out to see if I have any in stash - this is a minor miracle just writing that! Still got a problem with shampoos - I have 2 unstarted ones in the cupboard. A make from Sainsburys that I am not keen on and one of those shampoos that aims to get rid of brassiness - it's a silver bottle (some posh make from Boots) apparently it comes out purple and I'm worried about using it. Anyone here used it?Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

I need perfumes..that's what I'd like. I have spent this year running stuff down (apart from a sneaky summer hol purchase of Narciso Rodriguez Essence:p) It had just occurred to me this morning that I should go on a sniffathon to identify what I'd like as my birthdays in Nov too!
Oh no! just read mineallmine's post and realised I've forgotten to get the Telegrapgh for the voucher. Wonder if there'll be any left if I pop out now?0 -
Go for it Bronnie, I went to a newsagent where I didn't think the Telegraph would be popular (could be anywhere for all I know!). Go go go!

Just got back to the house after spending most of the weekend at the boys room, and found a mascara from tesco in my post pile, I think it must be a freebie from the thread on here where you had to tell them your make up/skin care gripe. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
