Tidying the bathroom and got sidetracked into sticking my foot in the basin to use up the dregs of a Sanctuary foaming scrub on legs and feet. WIBA? It was ok but it's the sort of thing I get in gift sets for b'days etc! That's another tube less.

Also UU a mini sample tube of Clarins pure melt cleanser.

This is intriguing stuff, anyone use it? The Clarins SA gave me the free sample when I told her I cleansed with almond oil, as the texture is comparable. It's rather nice imo, goes on dry skin as a gel, turns into an oil as you massage it on to dissolve make-up etc, then turns into a light milk as you rinse it off with water. No oily residue, but it did leave that very slight tautness that I never get now I cleanse with oil.
WIB? No, I'm happy with how almond oil leaves my skin balanced, not stripped and it's sooo cheap too. This is nice though, if I can get my hands on another freebie, I'd use it for weekends away etc.

Also UU Body Shop Divine Calm lavender shower gel. I like this when I'm stressed out and showering then straight to bed. Very strong scent. Still got the matching body lotion left for when I need "divine calm"
  • Evening ladies, a few more UU's to report

Garnier mineral 48hr antiperspirant, wiba? no way, this was the worst I've ever used
Clinique anti-blemish foundation, wiba? no, bought this as I thought it would help banish the spots that are plagueing my middle-age, it didn't
Mon jeunesse orange facemask, this looks slightly mad - it's an orange coloured cloth mask with orange slices printed all over it, but it genuinely is a no fuss, no mess mask that left my skin glowing so will definitely repurchase.

    Happy pampering

I had a sample of this and really liked it - not enough to buy it though as it's expensive and I prefer Clarins Water Comfort cleanser. Good old Clarins and their cleansers.....

UU Sample of Lush I Love Juicy Shampoo. WIBA? Yes if I had the cash. Don't normally like LUSH stuff (well don't like the smell of the shop) but this is good. Smells yummy and cleans really well. Would use it as a once weekly proper clean.
I'm trying to use up samples first so that I feel I'm making a bit of headway in my first few days!
Since starting again after beanie: June 2016: Child development DVDs, Massive Attack tickets. July: Aberystwyth trip, hotmilk nightie. Aug: £10 Hipp Organic vouchers, powerpack. September: Sunglasses. October: £30 poundland vouchers.
  • Went into Boots as planned this morning, bought just what was needed, and left again - go me! :A Got a decent bargain on Mitchum deodorant - I currently have a roll-on on the go for camping trips and have been impressed so when I saw that they were half price I bought an aerosol and a solid stick one to try. Also grabbed a Nivea one to try as at half price (£1.47) for a 250ml can it was the cheapest on the shelf. I have very little brand loyalty with deodorants and usually tend to buy whatever looks cheapest and as though it will be effective enough. By the time I'd got my other bits the spend came to over £5 so I got a No.7 voucher, but was extremely good and walked away without even looking to see what I could spend it on!

survived my trip into town yesterday. I only purchased 3 tubs of acqueous creme which will keep me going for a while, and i got some bug repellant spray from boots with my points. i didn't realise until i got home that OH bought some deodrants as well. I did talk him away from the liquid handsoaps as we've got loads and it's only him who can use them.
  • We've both been :A this weekend then LT!!

 I've reluctantly thrown out this lot this morning:

    Revlon Vital Radiance Soft Espresso
    Revlon Vital Radiance Soft Brown
    Revlon Vital Radiance Soft Denim
    Revlon Vital Radiance Soft Khaki
    Revlon Vital Radiance Soft Black

I always balk at throwing them out - but I don't find myself reaching for them either. Even though I love all the colours. So...For the last week these have been my only eyeliners and now I know they are a huge pain in the proverbial! The pencil breaks every time I use it. they drop onto my cheeks both during application - and even worse - all day long, and they smudge and smear like nothing I've ever tried. On the back of my hand they look lovely. On my eyes - complete Alice Cooper style nightmare!

I'm off to update my list right now.

    Have a great day! :j

  • Two UUs to report: Dove Pro-Age Beauty Care Body Wash 55 ml WIBA? No, this is the second Dove body wash that I don't like, and which I would describe as having an unpleasant soapy smell. It's a shame because the texture was lovely. I love the Dove Fresh shower gels though. Also UU a Gilchrist & Soames Conditioning Shampoo (mini) from a hotel. It didn't have much conditoning properties as I needed to apply conditioner as well.

I had a devine day at a spa yesterday and came back with some goodies: a coral coloured Jessica nail polish (included in the cost of my pedicure). I also treated myself (using some birthday money from August) to a Jessica Zenspa Stimulating Mint Masque (for feet). This was used during my pedicure and I fell in love with it! I had two samples thrown in with my purchase: a 3 ml tube of Elemis Pro-Collagen Oxygenating Night Cream and a sachet of Thalgo Smoothing Brightening Fluid.

So far this month I have only had 4 UU compared to 7 "ins", so need to try harder!

I have these and the same thing happens, I am going to give them to my teenage daughter who loves the Alice Cooper style! LOL
