Sounds a lovely day Bookie x
I remember picking blackberries when we were little and carried them back in our jumpers. When we got home our jumpers were covered in maggots.... We had eaten loads on the way home too:rotfl:But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
I went into a card shop today for a birthday card and the Christmas cards were already out on display :eek:Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

I saw some nice 2011 calendars in a charity shop today that I was going to get to say thanks to my neighbours but it just feels too early in the year.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0

elfen, i use a recipe from Delia - http://www.deliaonline.com/recipes/cuisine/european/english/the-classic-christmas-cake.html
you don't have to buy the separate fruits, as long as you have the same weight in mixed fruit it'll be ok.
i made one christmas before last in Nov and didn't give it to my friend until March!! she said it was fabulous - cos it had time to mature and i fed it every couple of weeks.Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!

Evening!
Thanks for all the birthday wishes from yesterday. Unfortunately, it was blowing a gale at this end which meant the skydive couldn't go ahead.
And the place I planned to do it at is only open weekends and bank holidays so I'll have to re-book it for somewhere down south when I get home. I'm heading to Chesterfield on Thurs and then back to Bath on Fri, ready for work again on Sat. (Yuck!)
The cheques from the investment bonds my grandparents have been saving since I was born will be going in the bank tomorrow and I've decided to clear my overdraft as well and reduce it to £500 for emergencies. Debt free-ness is so close I can almost taste it! :j :j :j I do feel quite guilty about using that money to clear my debts when my grandad was telling me about walking to the little Post Office near where he used to work to pay money in every year on my birthday.
But I do know that if they knew about my debts, it's what they'd want me to do.
I'm going to bed soon and I don't know when I'll get back online. It might be tomorrow or it might not be until Fri when I get home. But thanks again for the birthday wishes and the extra donations.
I'll definitely be doing the skydive, I just don't know when at the moment.
