mmmm.........Delrosa rosehip syrup.........used to love the smell and taste of that as a child.......when my youngest sister was born and she was given it, I was 11 and used to have a crafty swig from the bottle every now and again :rotfl:

Rosehip wine is one of my favourites....I've got 2 kilos of the things in the freezer awaiting the brewing bucket.

I soak any fruit I pick, overnight in salted water - it's quite grusome what comes floating to the top.....Blughh!
You do find quite a few earwigs trapped in the bigger rosehips too...so it's worth cutting them in half.

if you can find it, a magazine called Country Kitchen usually has some recipes for foraged fruits.Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!
