  • I have had problems with FB and had to go on through windows explorer and only then through a 'cache' version. Have just re logged on and it has been fine, don't know what is up with it-but feel like giving it up altogether for the hassle it is just to get on there. :(

Thanks all for advice re car. Will post quickly on the motoring board but agree with MOTing it (fingers crossed it passes but not holding my breath) but not taxing it.

Well failed to post PPI claims form off today :( I photocopied all the stuff and took the envelope round to the post office in my (half hour) lunchbreak, only to find the queue stretching halfway round the store!! End of the month/pension/car tax etc so I will definitely send it tomorrow.

Came home to find DS had finished off the roast chicken from Sunday that I was going to use for the curry tonight. To be fair I hadn't said "don't eat it" so he had cooked himself a roast chicken lunch with veg, gravy and 3 yorkshires. Curry might be of the vegetarian variety instead.

Joined the PADers today and am tempted to start a debt-free diary too. I've got that "back to school" feeling so think it would be a good time to remotivate myself and remind myself what I'm actually aiming at. Not sure whether I'd have any other contributions, but it would be a good incentive to me to stick to my resolve. I always work better when I have to account to someone, which is why I did WW at a meeting rather than at home. Same principle. Do well - get a pat on the head; fall of the wagon - get a lot of support. It's a win/win situation I think.

what was the MOT like last year Suzy? Did it sail through or were there any advisories that might this year turn into a fail?

As far as I can recall BB it has always passed first time. This year though, it's been sitting on my driveway since about April with no one driving it. I meant to sell it then, but we couldn't find the V5 (like someone else on here ;)) so I had to cough up £25 for a replacement. Then I had wait until I went to HK so that OH could sign it and transfer it into my name to sell.

So.... it was (is) a lovely car but it is surplus to requirements. I thought about keeping it for DD1 but the insurance is too expensive for her and she's at Uni in London most of the year anyway so no need for a car.

Might think about the local small ads. I think I can advertise up to £500 for free. Need to speak to the garage about getting it towed for it's MOT and it's on a really awkward spot on my drive - it won't be easy to shift.

Butti - how long has the application process taken?

About a month if I'd sent in 'original' bank statements at the beginning - had to substitute print offs half way through.

Have now found the budget but am a bit worried about how much they are likely to take off. Think I need to go and view houses this weekend but won't be able to commit until next Thursday.

Starting to twitch on several fronts _pale_ . Should all still come good hopefully.
