    Dishes are done, OH did break from his PS for a few minutes to dry 4 plates & a pan, but that was all, and now he's racing cars very noisily!
    I cant believe how many of you are thinking of Christmas already, maybe this is why I always end up spending a fortune, because I'm not spotting the bargains early enough. Hmmmmmm.

    I used to make my mums Christmas Cake in the October half term, dont think I'll make one this year though as neither me nor OH like fruit cake so doesnt seem much point. Maybe we could have a chocolate christmas cake instead? :)
    I suppose I really should start getting organised though, I'll aim to get most of it done by the end of October this year I think :)

    you coulsd make a Tunis cake, which is basicaaly a maderia cake with chocolate on top and decorated with marzipan fruits.

    I'm with Bunny, maggots aren't cute! I'm now wondering how I survived as a kid nomming berries straight from the bushes. Not just from the maggots but from the angry owners!

    Weezl uses a lot of hedgerow stuff I think, her blog might have ideas?

    I'm angry with Boots. I went to pick up my meds, which are supposed to be ready on a Wednesday, so they've had 6 days to do it. The computer said they were dispensed, but they weren't. And then they couldn't find the script at all. I suggested that they could fax it through to the late night branch when they got it because I had to get to my drum lesson. They said no, so I had to wait and it took so long that I missed my lesson, which I have to pay for anyway. And they didn't even apologise! So I think I'll be writing to head office.
