The NSD way to a supreme September

Evening all!
Kathy - sounds like you have had a totally manic week, please rest up when you can - having NSD cos you've been run into the ground is not really a good way to clock them up
Jinty - I'm coming up to yours for dinner tomorrow - and if there are any spare apples and blackberries left can I please have some so I can make blackberry and apple cake -
BigMumma - was it you who said they add red lintils to mince to help it go further? couldn't remember exactly who it was who gave the tip but I might try it next time I have room in the freezer to squirrell some food away.
Well it was a spendy day for me today, popped into Mr M cos I desparatly needed some moistureiser, I tried some own brand Mr A but even with the intensive one my skin has been noticeably tight and itchy all week, was going to try and use it up until OH pointed out I had a flakey bum this morning:o so back to Vaseline Intensive Rescue for me from tomorrow. Also picked up laundy liquid for £6 and some Whiskas for the furry one that was on offer - 2 for £4, so all in all a £15 spend
Had hoped it was going to be a NSD too, was even super good and took some joggers back to a shop WITHOUT coming out with anything ...so spend totally blamed on my rubbish dry skin
Did pop into my friends for a cuppa though so it wasn't all doom and gloom
btw - what is it about Saturday supermarket shoppers that makes them all so incrediably rude?!?! :mad:Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

NSD NUMBER 12 for me today Mistress Spoon - yesterday was car boot and food shopping day - as my 2 freezers are packed to the gunnells with whoopsied chicken, fish, & prawns as well as special offer quorn, I find I only need to buy fruit (lots of), M**lerlight Yoghurts (lots again), ... erm .... and not much else actually!!! Which is keeping my food budget average down nicely and helping with the NSD's as I can now include my nomal shopping days of Fridays or Sundays sometimes. Not yesterday as I needed those yoghurts and had to pop into L*dl for some of that 25p coffee that boult mentioned, but it's looking good for an extra NSD tomorrow at the moment
By the way, I've been spending some time today setting up my own diary here - it's good therapy to write it all down - and it's fun too so please feel free to look in
Hope you feel better tomorrow SlowlyFading ((hugs)) but not to closely in case I catch whatver it is you've got!!!Mr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Sundays is a fairly local open-air market & I could really do with a new bag as the one I'm using is splitting round the seams
Does anyone else carry ALL their worldly goods around in a shoulder bag
Yep, me...... until I got some sense and invested in a bag just big enough for my purse, a couple of tissues, a pen, a small notebook and my mobile. Prior to that there was unknown life at the bottom of my bag, my OH often threatened to put a house brick in there and wait to see how long it was before I found it.The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

Oh Dear !! Another spend day for me !!!
And it's all DD's fault as I wouldn't have known about the offer if she hadn't mentioned it to me.......
Was heading up to DD's (to drop off some baby stuff she left here over 5 years ago that I want out from under my feet) and my parents (to collect 4x12kg bags of dog food that were delivered to their address), so DD asked me to swing by Mr T and get her a paper with a free DVD as there isn't a Mr T or W-aitch-S anywhere near her for her to collect them herself. Decided I wouldn't mind the DVD myself, so that was an 80p spend for the paper !!! (DD reimbursed me for hers)
Quite fancy the DVDs over the rest of the week as well, so have decided to put the money for the papers to one side rather than have no NSDs at all this week. (Could have pre-paid for the week at a local papershop, but by getting them daily from work I'll get my 10% staff discount on them) Then it's just a case of walking the dog to Mr T and back each day (instead of around fields/bridleways behind my estate) in order to collect the DVDs
Also need(ed) to get some frozen veg - finished my sweetcorn tonight, and will finish my mixed veg tomorrow. Problem being I've no freezer space for both at once (nor either until I lift out the meat/fish for a couple more meals - but will have to get the sweetcorn tomorrow or Monday and ram it in somewhere, as I need it for Monday - and Tuesday - night)
Will also need milk at some point this week, but if I'd bought it today it would have gone off before I'd have chance to use it all (even if I only bought a 2-pinter)
Had I had freezer space, I would have bought all three bits today.
But I haven't, so I've also squirrelled away the money for those 3 items (and added it to the £2 I already have put aside for getting more Mvller Yoghurts tomorrow before the offer ends)
So as long as I don't buy anything else (and I've not put aside any money for loo rolls), I should now be able to get a reasonable run of NSDs this week
My Dad also gave me two large carrier bags of windfall Bramleys that I'll have to deal with tomorrow. Problem being storing it once I've stewed it, as I've no freezer space !!! Does anyone know if I can safely jar it up like I do jams & pickles? Never tried it before, but it dawned on me that pre-made apple sauce comes in jars......Cheryl0 -

I always carry a spare house brick anyway...just in case I should suddenly need one ... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
