    Hi all NSD'ers

Gosh, not been in for ages :( Have missed you all :heart2:

It has been a really strange week

Planned shopping day on Monday as I knew I would be paying for parking for the doctors where I was due some blood tests but got up late :( When I got there they couldn't fo them!! and I had to go back on the Tuesday, feeling fed up and having to do a few hours at my second job that evening I didn't want to rush so planned the shopping for Tuesday. got to doctors as planned on Tuesday and the usual nurse wasn't in and they put me with another one, now I am really difficult to take blood from and she couldn't get any!! This meant a looooooooooooong wait while she tried to find a doctor who could do it, had to refill the meter for the car and was eventually seen about 3 hours later when he had to get it from my neck  Not an experience I've had before and not one I really want again but at least it was quick :o

On getting out I was 5 mins over on the parking ticket and a warden was just down the road  So despite feeling woozy I managed to get round the corner, pull up again and get a quick bar of choccy to get sugar back to normal;)

Managed to get shopping and all within budget but felt a bit wierd so spend rest of the day lazing and didn't get onto the computer :rotfl:

Up for an early shift on Wednesday and managed NSD number 8, was proud of myself as had a few hours at second job and the girl I was with went to the shop and I didn't have anything :). Got in and had been in bed for about an hour when I got a call from work as the night shift lady's mum had been taken to hospital and wasn't expected to last the night :(. She couldn't get hold of anyone else so I went in, boss came in to take my shift at 8.00 by this time I must have looked like a walking zombie which probably went well with the 'vampire' bruise on my neck :p and ended up going to the corner shop on the way home for 'easy eats' which ruined my planned NSD  as being on an early the next day I couldn't just go straight to bed and sleep all day so consequently didn't really know what day it was when I woke up a couple of hours later and felt far too groggy to do anything so did nothing!! managed to get back to normal yesterday and got number 9 :)

I am on lates now until Wednesday so am hoping to get properly back on track :) and hope to call in with today's later and will try to carch up on the thread.

Hope everyone is okay, best get ready and off to work!! Have got an agency bod in today with me so don't know what the day will be like but will let you all know later ;)

No apologies necessary Spoon! You work so hard and do a fantastic job keeping this thread going and updated - your endless enthusiasm and optimism, together with your ability to fend of negativity is second to none - you should have a day off more often!

When you do return from your mini-break (don't rush!), my running total is now up to 10 NSDs! At last I'm into double figures, and back on course to reach my target for the month!

    Have a good weekend everyone!

Hey everyone... Thank u so much for the big welcome!!! this thread is very encouraging. i am only on NSD 3 though, although today and tomorrow should be NSD which should take me upto 5 to start the new week with which is good. I have only planned for 10 this month just to see if I am capable, then I shall aim to increase it buy 1 each month. which seeems reasonable. I am finding that if u do all ur spending in one day, then you spend less, i guess that is the jist of it but i do all of my travel money (petrol etc) in one big go. then im set up for the next few days

Everyone on here is doin amazin, and have alot more NSDs then me, and probably have more money comitments then i do!

Keep up the good work everyone, and keep me updated with any great tips.

Well Im declaring early for today - no 10!
Apart from gettting doglet's haircut I havent spent a thing - OH paid for the coffee and bacon rolls and I also got him to pay for a big carton of cream reduced to 45p for tomorrow's pud;) . We went foraging for apples today - got @10lbs, so tomorrow its apple & blackberry crumble ( free blackberries from the other day). Also making a huge chicken casserole of which I'll freeze half and have the rest with mashed tatties, veg and yorkies, real autumn grub!
Also discovered that my old hairdresser is now doing mobile "do's" so she's coming on Wed to cut my hair - £17.50, which is a fraction of what the average haircut is around here:TThrilled!
We're having our usual Saturday chill out night, hope you all have a good one:)

you will always be rich enough to be generous.

Don't sell yourself short Fenna, you're doing incredibly well :T Granted some of us are well into double figures but if you look, we're old hands at the Challenge..but that's not to say that Big Thing called Life doesn't throw a spanner in our works every now & again :o The more you do this Challenge tho, the more you find cost-free solutions to whatever is causing you to spend unnecessarily now.
As I was trying to say in an earlier post, it scared the beejeezuz out of me when I actually added up what I was spending, because those odd couple of quid here & there don't always register. It's when I got to the end of the week & wondered where all the notes had disappeared to from out of my purse before I ever thought to question what I had bought. Now tho by doing as much as possible in the same day, you have the physical evidence there in front of you so to speak [plus it makes it harder to carry too much around the shops :p]

Aww if I was closer Kathy, I'd come & help you--not a clue what I'd be letting myself in for, but I'd help :D

Hope you enjoy the Wedding ChrisF; does it make you feel old attending your little bro's nuptials :rotfl:

MMMmmmmm ..apple & blackcurrant crumble....not had that for YEARS! I'm the only one who likes crumble here :o..or stews..or fish pie..*goes to make a m@rmite sarnie for tea!*

Meant to ask earlier Cheryl, if you've had time to miss the Milk Monster :D I'm guessing being able to do as you please at a time you want is an unadulterated pleasure at the moment! Enjoy!

I really must go do summat so I'll wish you all a good w/e & catch you soon x
