The NSD way to a supreme September
Comments

Right, no more excuses, it's week 2 of September already and I've not managed more than 1 NSD... That's rubbish.
Tomorrow. Got nothing to buy tomorrow except having to pay the rent arrears and maybe get gas and electric if they look bad...
Which is a good thing as I've just had a whopping gert bill for the car.(It may not sound whopping to you at £170 but it was £170 that has come out of my food money).
I refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.
(Ok, one of them is powerless, spiders can be nasty.)
As of the last count I have cleared [STRIKE]23.16%[/STRIKE] 22.49% of my debt.

Yesterday was an NSD for me and so was today....so that is 6 down and 8 still to go. :jGrocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

Hmmmm, the plumber fitting a new kitchen tap for me kinda scuppered my NSD! But at long last I no longer have to turn the water on and off with a rusty pair of pliers :rotfl:. (Shiny new tap does make the rest of the sink look a bit dull though
)
Big Mumma, I never noticed the date and I've been writing it in case-notes all day! Now I'm going to have to check I got the date right! (Sometimes I try to change time by jumping forward or backwards in time when I write the date! D'oh!)

(Not so) small spend of £219.60 for me today
Of that, £3.60 was on groceries.....
Was going to use frozen mushrooms with my steak tonight, but as it became a spend day I bought some fresh ones instead (65p)
And I also checked out the Whoopsies as I left work at 5:15pm.....
Pack of 2 Cheese & Broccoli Haddock Fillets (breaded) : [strike]£2.29[/strike] 69p - got all 3 of these
Pack of 2 Breaded Haddock Fillets : [strike]offer price of £1.50[/strike] 49p - took the only pack
Tub of W/Watchers reduced fat thick cream : [strike]82p[/strike] 19p - took 2 of these, but there were loads !!!
Making a Whoopsie spend of £3 on goods worth £10.01
Shouldn't have really been buying any groceries until Friday, as that's when the next D/Debit goes out of my bank account, but I was getting very low on (a special diet, expensive and necessary) dog food - and PAH had a 24 hour sale starting at 9am today which included 'ours' on B1G1HP. As it's normally £35.99 per 12kg bag (about 30 days worth of food) this made for a significant saving - so the order had to be placed. Limited to 2 half price sacks per household, so my Dad (bless him) placed an order to be delivered to their house as well (and I've transferred the money from my bank account to his)Made it an expensive day for me, but will save me a small fortune over the next 8 months or so :T

No NSD for me today as I treated myself to some choccie biccies and some cake for after dinner to cheer myself up after getting another job rejection. It was from the reduced aisle so all in all only cost £2.38 but a spend is a spend!
Normal Allie service will resume shortly!!Those that matter don't mind, and those that mind don't matter0 -

Sorry to hear about the job rejection AllieBallie. I'm sure that something MUCH better will come along soon.
I have been busy for a couple of days, and blimey does this thread move fast (I find it hard enough keeping up with everyone when I do manage to get on a couple of times a day) I have come to the last page as I'm tired, but just wanted to report a total of 4NSD banked for miss empty piggy.
Well done everyone. :T0 -

:hello:
Hi all NSD'ers
was a bit of an odd day though, Orphan had been on my mind more since Sunday as it was almost an identical weekend.........had been off work, London on the Sunday, out for a couple of hours Monday night and then blow me........the gas meter man's van was outside the door when I went out on the Tuesday morning!!!! A bit too much deja vu there  but at least I was on the way to meet my friend so could share it
((((hugs)))) Kathy, glad you were meeting your friend and could talke about it. Orphan is bound to be on your mind more some days than others, all part of the process.
Thinking about you, take care
