Hi elf06 and welcome to the madhouse that is the NSD challenge (I hope Cheryl warned you that we are a bunch of nutters:D:D:D) but we are very welcoming and it's good to have you join up.

I'm starting the October thread today and will add your name to the front page with your target. Best advice we can give you is to keep posting, it seems to work for most of us and please feel free to join in with banter and occasional bit of serious highbrow and intellectual chat (though you might have to work a bit harder to find that:D).

Look forward to seeing you in October

Nutter??? Noooooooooooo she never mentioned it (Cheryl you can pay me later ;))

To be honest this is in congunction with my GC as I have finally come in on target with it (watch this space as I spectacularly fail in Oct :rotfl:) so now I feel the next step is to cut down on spend days to try and reduce it further :D:D Well thats the theory anyways...........As for banter - I can deff manage that not so hot on the highbrow stuff :rotfl:

Thank you spoon, I think posting daily might help me stay focused so I'll try and be more regular in October.

I'll have a look around at the other challanges and see what else I could get involved in.

My first thought about the hobby was, seriously no time. But thinking about it maybe it would do me some good. I'm lucky enough to be a SAHM, which I love, but I do feel like I'm slightly losing myself at the moment. I'm at the point at the moment where I have so much to do, I'm completely overwhelmed, don't know where to start so more often than not, I don't start. Cue the bad tempered headless chicken trying to catch up at the last minute :(

Oh dear, I am full of self pity today!!

Don't worry, honey, we're very good at getting people out of self-pity mode, just read Nargle's ode to her sheep, that'll cheer you up.

Seriously, if you're feeling totally overwhelmed, write a list, it helps you to organise yourself and your mind and helps you to prioritise things. I'm the world's worst for headless chicken syndrome, believe me, but stepping back and taking 10 minutes to write a list and have a cup of tea works wonders, honestly.

Take care hun, thinking about you

Hiya, didn't manage a NSD today as walked past a charity shop and saw some juggling batons (or whatever they are called) and know they would be perfect for my dad for christmas and at £2.50 I couldn't say no. So even though i didn't get my revised target, I still feel happy enough i only spent £2.50 :D and I still got my froggie!!!
Finally getting my life on track. Onwards and upwards.
