    Hi peeps,

I haven't posted for a couple of weeks and I have no new NSD to report :o

I've had a rubbish couple of weeks where I've had so many necessary out of the blue SDs, but I've also had quite a few "feeling sorry for myself so bought something" days.

The really stupid thing is, I hate shopping, I'm not too keen on spending money and it really didn't make me feel any better (I've also eaten far too much rubbish) I know we've got to be really careful with money but then I go and waste yet another £10 - £20 on stuff/food thats not needed.

Sooooo, feeling very disappointed with myself for finishing on 4/10.

Sorry for the rant, I will be back for October challange with renewed determination. I'm off to read the boards for inspiration.

Thank you for all your hard work Spoon.

Oh and thanks again to CW18 for pointing me in your direction :T

Hi elf06 and welcome to the madhouse that is the NSD challenge (I hope Cheryl warned you that we are a bunch of nutters:D:D:D) but we are very welcoming and it's good to have you join up.

I'm starting the October thread today and will add your name to the front page with your target. Best advice we can give you is to keep posting, it seems to work for most of us and please feel free to join in with banter and occasional bit of serious highbrow and intellectual chat (though you might have to work a bit harder to find that:D).

Look forward to seeing you in October

    Hi honey,
Just echoing what beanie says below, don't be too hard on yourself. 4 NSDs is an achievement and a heck of a lot better than none at all - so you've made some progress. Life just gets in the way of plans. Believe me I've been in your position many a time and it's very hard to get out of the pattern of buying things because you're feeling down.

One of the reasons I've carried on running this challenge is because it keeps my mind occupied, how about posting on here once a day for the first few days and join in with the chat - that helps a lot of us. Maybe join in with some other challenges as well there are loads to look at and join in? Could you take up a hobby, something you're interested in just to divert your mind?

Maybe also set yourself a lower target for October and see how you get on with that, it might not be quite so daunting to start with.

Chin up, keep posting, we'll lift your spirits, don't you worry.
Take care - and hope to see you during October.

Thank you spoon, I think posting daily might help me stay focused so I'll try and be more regular in October.

I'll have a look around at the other challanges and see what else I could get involved in.

My first thought about the hobby was, seriously no time. But thinking about it maybe it would do me some good. I'm lucky enough to be a SAHM, which I love, but I do feel like I'm slightly losing myself at the moment. I'm at the point at the moment where I have so much to do, I'm completely overwhelmed, don't know where to start so more often than not, I don't start. Cue the bad tempered headless chicken trying to catch up at the last minute :(

Oh dear, I am full of self pity today!!
  • Woo hoo!!! Yesterday was NSD number 19 for me, meaning I reached my target!!!

The cupboards are a little empty so I'm going to reward myself with a food shop today and a Euromillions ticket!

Well done everyone with all the NSDs collected this month - thanks as ever to Spoon for all your hard work and keeping us all in line - and see you all on the October thread!
