I have been doing the 'Pay off as much as you can in 2011' challenge and I put a target of £6000.
I decided to only count my overpayments and not my usual minimum payments. Just for a bit more motivation.
Today I passed the first £1000mark.
I am extremely pleased with this. But so wish that money was in my pocket, what I could have spent that on!!!!
But that has given me even more motivation to be rid of the debt

Well shopping from alist and menu planning are the way to go.
I have been following this principle for 2 weeks now (wish I had done it sooner) and saved a fortune.....still had to top up in the week but all within budget just do it for freshness.
My next purchase though has to be a breadmaker.....I read so many diarys that are always using the bread maker but I would like one that does the dough so I can then make rolls.....any help with this appreciated.
Got a houseworky sort of weekend ahead so better drag myself away and get a wriggle on

Well managed to grab 2 of the £5 bargain meals from M&S yesterday.
We had the Oakham chicken roasted with veg and roast potatoes, it was yummy!
Also got the chicken breast roast for a quick 'in the week' roast.
Accounts all look fine and it's pay day on Friday:j
Working every day this week so will need to keep on top of the housework in the evenings.
Aiming for a low spend week this week, fingers crossed

Well it's nearly Friday again!
Where do the weeks go?
Friday is spreadsheet day and this week Pay Day:j
And I still have money in the bank :j
Managed to overpay nasty CC by £297.86 last month (that did include council tax and water from the free month).
Don't know if I can do it again but going to aim high.
Shopping list and menu plan tonight (why didn't I do this sooner) so much money saved and so much less waste.Pay as much as you can in 2011- £3688.54/£6000Pay as much as you can in 2012 - £3190.96/£6000LBM - August 2010 - £19202.30Current - August 2012 - £11803.68Paid so far - £7398.620 -
