I am going to tackle this debt busting in a slightly different way from now on.

1,going to use my diary more.
2,start piggybanking which I set up this morning with the savings I made yesterday into 2 accounts that hadn't been being used.
3, Put the money we should have left over each week into a savings account (accessable if needed and saved if not).

All this while continuing to overpay on debts.

    Worth a try.
This week I menu planned and shopped from a list so another move in the right direction :)

This morning I have set up 2 new spreadsheets,to see where my money really goes.
Potentially I should have nearly £300 left each month.Well currently I'm not seeing that.
So I have a spreadsheet for how the money should look potentially and one for how it looks actually.

Opened a new savings account to put the 'leftover' money in each week and I'm going to try and leave it there.
This can then be used for a holiday (hopefully) and debt-busting.

This weekend I have listed 15 items on ebay - so far I have 2 watchers and 1 bidder. Nothing is expensively listed on there, most starting at 99p. I just want to clear out and any cash is better than nothing.
This money is going towards days out in the big school hols.

My spreadsheets I did yesterday look lovely and as the money is moved about I am going to change the figures colours so I will know at a glance where I stand with the money.
I can't wait until Friday when the first money goes in and I can start moving it about. (Wishing the week away:o)

Well a relaxing afternoon ahead of me before the Sunday evening rituals of getting ready for work and school tomorrow.
Have a good Sunday all :)

  • Sounds like you're getting very sorted! I need to have another ebay sort out. Got a fair few old dancing things to get rid of now that both my girls have stopped going.

Well, yesterday was new psreadsheet day and I was v excited to see it in action.
But I think in my haste I may have messed up a couple of transfers. This is not a major issue as it is only between my accounts but I need to sit down and rework it out and put it right.
Got to do mealplan and shopping list for this morning.
And off to the post office to post my ebay sales. I did much better than expected :) and I have relisted the items that didn't sell.

My daughter cleared out her bedroom a couple of days ago and I now have a pile of books that are heading for Amazon I think.

Had a hectic three days so aiming for a quietish weekend.

So what's been happening in the world of o2bfree?

Well my lovely new spreadsheet is doing it's job and keeping me to budget :j
I love Fridays when I can update it a little more.

Overpayments are going well and I have managed to pay twice my normal monthly payment to nasty CC.
Highest APR and highest balance - so want to get rid of this.

Ebay sales have been going well and I have made £53 but fees need to come out of this yet. Can't decided whether to pay this off debt or have as school holiday spends (which was my original idea).

Will try and update diary more over the coming week- have a great weekend :)
