Hoping someone can help me, i took my car to the garage last week as the Emissions light was on continuously.. I have a 2.2 zafira, car is running fine, apart from the light, i took it to the vauxhall dealer who plugged it in to the machine they have and they have said i have a squirrel, something to do with the sensor for the ignition and the fuel,, and it was nothing to worry about.. if it comes on again to contact them,,, could anyone explain anything more to me about this as i really to not understand what it is or what is causing it..and if the light does come on again is it going to cost me a fortune..
Thanks
Thanks

Would appear to be some sort of mechanic slang rather than a technical term.0

He probably meant a "gremlin"
Its what people sometimes call it when you get unexplainable electronic faults that appear and then go away by themselves.“Careful. We don't want to learn from this.”0 -
Ah Gremlin aka Squirrel, that'll be the technical term for 'we don't have the foggiest idea' then.0

Just my luck.. outta warranty... light is off after they have reset the sensor, car is running fine.. not lumpy or misfiring, so fingers crossed the sensor was faulty.. time will tell i guess...0 -
