Had a row with DD1 about washing 2 plates. If I hear "it's not my job" any more I'll go on strike. Then we'll see whose job it is.

Ooh that certainly brings back menorys for me,doesn't seem that long ago when I was using that excuse, lol. I enjoy doing the pots now, only feels right after having my tea cooked for me:).

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

    Lol Bun....

She's 19 and about to move into her own house in a couple of weeks (uni flat-share). She does help a lot around the house tbh. This happened last night and I was serving up the roast dinner that I had cooked and needed a couple of dinner plates washing up. My request was to all 3 of them, but she's the only one who took it personally. I did rather go over the top tbh but I apologised to her this morning but she's still sulking.

hmmmmmm.........looked at switching gas/electric (I'm a bit of a utility tart and do it every so often for quidco ;) ) and just entered current readings and I'm £165 in credit!! I think there's a bit of a monthly saving to be had there somewhere along the line.......

right.......done a bit of digging and have changed to npower through quidco. My DD will go from £70 a month to £64. I'll get the huge credit back from Scottish Power and quidco have £150 cashback for the tariff I've signed up for split over £75 on sign up and £75 in 6 months time.

I once got stung by switching and paying too little each month and then had a big bill so I don't mind that my DD won't change hugely. It could change a bit over the winter but the amount of credit I had with scottish power was stupid (although a nice surprise!!) and the terms of going to npower are fine. I'm always a bit careful these days with switching as they've introduced all sorts of different tariffs and penalties for wanting to leave but at the moment it's looking good - BB's fun pot will be looking healthy at some point over the next couple of months!!
