I went as a beginner so remember Zell more for it's prettiness to be honest!

Check out Mayerhofen, Austria as well, have been there a couple of times. Downside there though is a 10 min gondala ride to the top before you can ski.

Am going to look at Zell, haven't been to Austria for a long time (for skiing) and husband is half Austrian.

    I don't need any encouragement!

Did he grow up here or Austria?

Grew up here but spent his summer holidays in Austria with his Aunt.

I'm thinking Switzerland again now, I'm worried about guaranteed snow in Austria, even though some of the resorts there are beautiful. Might have to take a break and come back to this tomorrow, I always get carried away! Usually I have a few ideas but this year I'm clueless, just feel like trying somewhere new!

Don't mention holidays to our Woo, she'll have you on a plane in no time :rotfl:

Glad your FIL is much better now and hope your throat is clearing up too :). I want to get a holiday Terramundi pot but I can't bear the thought of spending the money on one, I've turned into such a cheapskate! :o

Verbier is one of my favourite resorts (but I've got a few ;))

Shortlist so far, (let me know what you think):
    Zermatt
    Saas Fee
    Les Diablerets
    Morzine/Avoriaz
    Arraba

Or back to somewhere we've been before. Will investigate further tomorrow.

Thanks for your help, night night. x

I don't think you can hold Woo responsible for my holiday habit! What is a Terramundi pot? Feel like I should know.

Off to bed now, night x

    Morning!

Forgot, Zell am See is also on my short list, would like to go to Austria. Normally we book late so don't have a great choice, think that is why I am overwhelmed! On the Neilson site you can compare 3 resorts side by side, very helpful!

Excited about skiing :) but starting to think I will never get better :(

A Terramond pot is a pretty ceramic money pot that you have to smash to retrieve the money.

I have one with nothing in as I couldn't bear to smash it, they cost about £15 as well!
