hi all, I want to buy a new digital camera. I have sd cards. I want to buy a decent camera, I have always had problems with battery charging, so prefer a camera with its own battery recharging system from the mains. Would like a camera with a nice zoom, point and shoot, easy to use, any suggestions???
Trinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!

I prefer a camera that you put in your own rechargables. That way you can have a couple spare in your pocket or purchase some Alkaline if get caught out!!0

I'm the opposite :rotfl:
I've had a few digital cameras that use AA batteries and I've always found them a bit temperamental on whether they think the batteries are full or empty! I much prefer lithium batteries these days (the rectangular ones)
OP, the Sony DSCW320B is going for just over £100 on Amazon just now, I don't think you could go too wrong with that. As I'd say to anyone though, it's a good idea to read lots of reviews before hand.0 -
Do Sony, still use their own "Memory Stick"? if so , avoid, get one that uses SD cards. Canon for ex.0

What's the best digital camera? This one is quite good - http://www.jacobsdigital.co.uk/index.php?target=products&product_id=64819
Or for a hundred quid, get yourself a little canon - http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5593684/c_1/1|category_root|Photography|14419436/c_2/3|14419436|Digital+cameras+and+packages|14419441/c_3/4|cat_14419441|Digital+cameras|14419442.htm
Want to use one as a HD video recorder? How about this - http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/-/257/337/-/13525251/Panasonic-Lumix-FP3-14-1-Megapixel-4x-Optical-Zoom-3-inch-LCD-Digital-Camera-Silver/Product.html?searchtype=genre#0 -
Have a look at the Fuji online store;

Very pleased with mine.0 -
They are offering £3000 discount on this one at the moment on this one

Before buying, most are better in certain areas than others. I have a canon and it takes brilliant pictures, however in low light, or lowish light and movement (pubs and clubs) probably not the best there is.0 -
Hi there, don't mean to hijack your thread but I skipped over from the weddings board as i'm looking for a wedding pressy for my fiance and a digital camera seemed the thing. I could do something up to £300 and wondered if any of you experts (I only use the one on my fone
and he used to be into photograhy way back when) could point me in the right direction too?
btw I like the Hasselblad - do you think they would do it in red?:rotfl:0 -

Well for a £300 budget (or possibly a little more), you could buy a DSLR from the canon refurb shop on ebay!
I bagged a 500D for £400 recently(comes with 1 years warranty and it was like new!)
Or you can usually bag a 1000D on amazon for around £350

Or if you want a point and shoot, there's plenty out there, panasonic lumix are pretty good!:exclamatiTo the internet.. I need to complain about something!0
