Had 2 glasses of red wine last night., the first time all year and the first drink in a couple of months and had a dreadful nights sleep, woke up loads so gave up at 6.30am to make a cuppa and try and ward off the feelings of dhydration - yuk.

Today will be some exercise, WM and the kitchen (as didn't do it last week) then lounge around on a day off

    Have a good day everyone!

Me too....same as you hun, already had 2 pints of vimto, water and coffee but I'm awake so that'll teach me.:o
    Hope you feel better soon.

Well plonked a load in the dryer as we're off to Alton Towers today to get some use out of our Merlin Vouchers which expire soon.:o
Meeting some friends there so it should be good fun, although it was at Alton Towers last year where I got bitten by something and so began my Lyme Disease journey ....:(
But I can't live my life frightened to do anything or go out n the countryside so I'm going for it and plan to enjoy myself.

Need to locate sat nav, get a little picnic ready and we'll be off.

    Need another coffee first though.

DD2 has just loaded the DW bless her.

Morning all - I am back in and posting this week.
I do try every week, but tend to lurk rather than post.
I was off last week and was decluttering the kids room etc and found so much '[STRIKE]junk'[/STRIKE] other people's treasure, that we decided to do a carboot. I got myself all organised, got my float and my trestle table etc, only to find the carboot is today, not yesterday!! And OH is at work with the car today!!
No way was I getting up at 3am to take him to work!! So it's all piled up awaiting the next car boot.

But on a positive note, I have decluttered tons of stuff and the house is looking better for it!

jennyjewell - good luck with the giving up smoking - my mum gave up 2 years ago after 60 YEARS!!!!!

LKblogg - welcome - and good luck with having a boy - the golden rule is not to change nappies on your bed......because boys can get their wee an awful long way!

I'm in - got our local village show this afternoon - DD1 is determined to attend which is great - she's not been because of her illness for 3 years.

OH is playing cricket this afternoon...but his other team is responsible for the refreshments at the show so he was asking if me and DD2 would make some flapjack.

We did - but apparently it wasn't good enough - too crumbly - SO HE IS MAKING ANOTHER BATCH HIMSELF!!!! Well I wasn't going to do it for him!

Forecast is reasonable so may change a couple of beds!

Morning everyone - after a bit of a flylady absence, I am back in the fold this week. House is fairly tidy and decluttering is ongoing, but a bit of daily focus needed. As today is a day off, I thought it would be a good day to restart, so was very pleased to see that there are no major tasks on the list for today!

    Morning all

I kind of missed the end of last week's fred due to kids' party/tea/going out. DH and I had a pleasant evening and I don't feel too bad this morning. Anyway, I'm in again this week and thank you to FCC for the thread. Ready for breakfast now after a couple of cups of tea.

DH asked what I had planned for today - answer was food shopping and flying. Wasn't going to be distracted. He knows me really well and suggested a visit to the garden centre in the next village. :(
We're thinking of walking there with DS2 (don't know what DS1 has got planned) and I think I'll take my backpack with a few empty containers in case we find something to be foraged.

Plan is now to find some food, followed by a HHC to tidy the kitchen. I'll start the washer with either towels or DS1's bedding and then we can go. It's another bright day today and looking a bit less breezy than the last two. We've been lucky so far this weekend, even though I had to rescue the washing again yesterday - just as I my hands were mucky with soil from emptying the first tub of spuds. New potatoes for tea - yum!

Loved the poem, valli. I wonder what greenbee will choose, as there were some good suggestions.

See you all later. Hope everyone has a good day. xxx

I'm in this week - although downstairs is limited by the builders - apparently they'll be finished on Friday, so I can get all the food out of the sittingroom and back into the larder. However there is no excuse for the rest of the house and the kids are back to school properly on Weds so I need to get into routine again.

I think I shall finish the painting in the porch today. We had it replastered and ds1 did most of the painting - but I told him to leave me the edging to do. Then dh can crack on with putting skirting in and I can touch up the gloss.

Thanks to FLC. I am in and seeing as it is not a Bank Holiday here but I have the day off by myself I am going to try and get ahead. I have a friend coming round for lunch tomorrow so I need downstairs to be presentable. OH tidied around yesterday while I was working so it will be an easier start.
