I've had a manic couple of days culminating in a row with DH who is not pulling his weight.
As suspected school won't have DS1 back so I've done the right thing in enrolling him in College. I have begrudgingly paid the £975 by CC. I tried to get some help from the county council and spoke to a condesending pen pusher who told me I should have applied for transport by 30th June. I calmly explained to her that grades were missed and therefore circumstances change and could she take that into consideration? She told me I would have an answer in 6 weeks!
DS2 and 3 went back to school today. DS3 has an egg on his forehead inflicted by DS2's mucking about. His teacher who is an NQT looked horrified when he went in!
Downstairs is beautifully clean and tidy as DD2's teacher came for a home visit today:D:D:D...... now I have to keep it like this!0 -

Hope you feel better soon Wilf.
Have now swept and mopped the hall and helped DD1 and 2 with sewing a frog puppet. Time to make lunch I think then I'll tackle the rest of the lounge and the kitchen.0 -
Ooops - that took a bit longer, but I've done other bits of tidying along the way, as they came up.

I will be able to pay the bank loan BUT I want it in writing via the solicitor that I have paid it.. and the mortgage without any input from him so when it comes to selling I get decent recompense for my financial inputLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Afternoon all
Today I''ve done the bathroom/toilet. Also two loads of washing, one of which was the heavy throw from the settee. All dry and put away. I've been reading posts but I can't remember anything. Hope everyone's OK, I'll try to finish catching up while dinner's cooking. Oh, and I vacuumed right through downstairs.
My son is doing the Great British Bike Ride this week and I keep obsessively checking for new photos in the gallery but they haven't added any more since Tuesday.0 -
I am starving and Freja has been eating pretty much constantly since about 10 this morning... how am I meant to eat anything when she is permanently attached?
Bitesize pieces of something on a plate on the chair arm, so you can eat with a fork, using one hand? Both DSs always wanted feeding as soon as my tea was out, so I perfected one-handed eating.I've had a manic couple of days culminating in a row with DH who is not pulling his weight.
(((hugs))) - impending row here for similar reasons. DH isn't planning on tidying the shed, but has just been given garden tools from an elderly friend. When I asked him where they were supposed to go, he said to put them in the shed. Can think of a better place...
Wilf - hope you feel better soon. How a about some spanish chicken style casserole? (tomatoes, veg, olives, herbs) Could be eaten with rice/pasta/crusty bread?
Best hunt out greenbee's recipe for courgette soup and make a start on cooking.0 -
thanks mrs c might try something like that,
off to do some more scrubbing etc

I think the sound of cutlery is an alarm for breastfed babies.. my formula babies never wanted feeding at meal times!
I don't have time to get up an get anything to have it there to snack on.. and if I buy stuff to nibble the children eat it anyway. hopefully she will be forced to live from my 'stores' (!!!! lard!) and i'll end up a twig like creature... Hey.. let me dream!! lol
