I've recieved a reply from the instructor, but at this time I don't know if I'm strong enough to read it. With exam stress and 101 other things going on, I don't want to make things worse.

Read it and post it on here! We like full stories :)

Don't let it stress you out. You have support from us lot!

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

    Thanks Pinkshoes,

I've got an exam this afternoon, so trying to focus on that for now. I don't want to read the email and then let it distract me. So when I'm on later, I'll see how I feel. Self esteem isn't my strong point at the moment lol x

Good luck in the exam. A bit of stress gets the adrenaline pumping which helps concentration and performance in exams!

I've been following and know how you feel. I put so much off when I was in my final year because I mentally just couldn't deal with it. The pressure is immense.

I also think you were right to change instructors. I had one I stuck with for ages, who acted like I was the worst driver ever, really made me feel rubbish, ended most lessons in tears - and of course as my confidence went down, so did my driving!

I ended up swapping to another - and the difference was unbelievable! I had the skills, just needed the confidence.

Please keep us updated and post the email back when you feel up to it.

    Good luck with the exams!

Her exam is this afternoon, so she probably won't be on until much later!

Finally home, exam went well. it was 3 hours long and I still run out of time!

    Anyways latest reply is:

    "Hi Helen, (my names Heather)

Thank you for your e-mail, contents of which are noted.

I will, as requested, send you a copy of the full terms and conditions today which I am sure will clarify the matter.

Please feel free to contact the DSA on anyone else you wish.

As mentioned in my earlier e-mail, as far as I am concerned this brings this matter to an end.

If you wish to contact me again concerning this matter please do so via the DSA or a solicitor.

The very best of luck with your test and a very happy new year.

    Best Regards

    ****

What do you think? A bit more polite, but still not the correct answer lol

I did get through to the ADI people, but they said it's not really something they deal with, but they didn't agree with his sell by date on lessons, but did say all companies have their own policies. I'm still waiting for the reply from the similar email I sent to the ADI as apparently they can give me more in depth advise on now to proceed.

Perhaps small claims court might be the way forward, If you have evidence you are owed lessons and this evidence doesnt state any use by date, I would file a claim, you can do it online and should cost £25. you can tell he is just trying to shut you up by saying not to contact him again unless through a solicitor.

Speak to consumer direct and ask their advice, if they think its a strong case for small claims I would.
