Hi all :j Better day today - buttons have stayed in their box................lol Instead I made up three jars of brownie mix. Very mse........had all the contents except for the chocolate chips that OH picked up this afternoon. Used coffee jars, free fabric for little hats' tied with string. Made two of the full size jars and a smaller one -just halved the ingredients...........more small jars now on the draining board...............lol
Had two freebie Beatles dvds arrive (well, free, post and packing had to be paid) Had some empty cd cases so put them inside to make them look a bit less 'cheap'...............lol So, a good day really :T

Forget who asked now but a button necklace is buttons threaded onto cord/cotton.......various ways of doing it. Ive got a link somewhere. When I find it Ill pop it on. Started making them earlier this year for birthdays using up Mums old buttons so they were very mse too.

Edit - had a look and just found this

    Hi :j
Sounds lovely and yummy, I also make bath and body items and specialise in perfumery (i do love scents) have you considered making some solid perfumes using the same tubs/tubes as your lip balms?
    <3

Its all in the planning stages at the moment so any useful info would be much appreciated, I've not heard of solid perfumes before :)

Solid perfumes are well just that :rotfl:perfume solids that you rub and then apply, like lipbalm but using fragrances, essential oils, or even extractions (such as rose petals and vodka, or lavender etc....)
I'll go upload my 'favourite' ones from the net, you can use anything for solid perfumes such as lockets (pour into that small space where the pic goes) miniture jam pots or even just little tins, or lip balm tubes. :T

    *recipe *

It works out about 10ml fragrance for every 100g of wax (just reduce this by 10% for your overall amount)

You can use any type of wax (beeswax, olive wax, beeswax etc)
    fragrance
1-2 tsp butter optional (coconut, mango, shea etc)
colouring (can use crayola crayons to colour)
    Packaging (tins,pots,jars,etc..)

    **To do**
1.put the wax into a double boiler to melt
2.if using colouring add the crayola or other wax colouring into the double boiler to melt with the wax.
    3.take off the heat
4.Add in the butter and mix until melted (this stops the mixture going grainy when cooled)
5.Add fragrance and pour into container.

I'll be back with some perfume solid inspirtations :rotfl::rotfl:

    Hi all...........:j
I'm after a label to add to my brownie mix jars. I've seen some around but theyre a bit colourful and I really want mine to look fairly 'rustic' if you know what I mean. Any ideas ?

Started doing the last two this morning but we hadnt got enough drinking chocolate (our lad drinks it so it goes pretty rapid........lol) Its only £1 from the cheapie shop in town so I'll pick some more up this afternoon -along with paper to transform remaining two old battered looking placemats into kitchen organisers. Couple of friends I always get a little something for and theyll be easy to post.
