I actually think it would be great to make things for babies and children and teach them early that it's not all about buying mass-marketed goods, plsu there are so many lovely things that you can make for them.
I have some great little knitted toys lined up to knit for my friend's daughters, for Christmas, from a book of soft toys to knit that she bought for my birthday. I am so looking forward to doing them, and I know they will be appreciated.0 -
i dont think you would need to melt fudge before adding it to the vodka
if it can break down werthers, it would definately do it with the fudge
i got my boxes delivered today for my retro sweetie boxes:j
so i am excited about those now
i really need to step it up a gear, i have so many things to be making, loads i can start now0 -

I agree Lil P, Ive been making my kids little things such as repurposed crayons in the shape of 3d cars and elmo etc, and their cousin fairy crayons they're so simply to do and they love them,
I'm due to be an auntie in february also so ive been planning things to make for that, and my other nephew im making a taggy blanket,
I usually get the kids involved and they have been doing handprint canvases (£2.49 for a pack of 4 decent canvases from Home Bargains) they are lovely as they have used multi colours and done their hands and feet, those are for xmas for granny and grandad etc..:T
I know my kiddies wouldn't be grateful for a purely handmade xmas although your right, kids need to revert back to the olden days i think to become more grateful for things, chances are they will leave home with the handmade items they got as kids and the expensive toys will be forgotten forever :cool:Blogger / Money SaverMake £2022 in 2022 Challenge - Accepted0 -
