I've just sat and read this whole thread and made a huge list of things I want to make
My symptoms have started, I am drooling over blogs. I have several windows open with items just waiting to be added to my basket
I've made 2 sock monkeys but they have already been claimed by the boys.
I'm going shopping tomorrow and I fear it could get expensive :rotfl:It's easier to get forgiveness than to ask permission0 -
A couple of questions though.. Would someone be so kind as to tell me the best place to buy
Cellophane Cones (for snowman soup)
Smallish bottles for werthers vodka
Jars for lemon curd
Thank youIt's easier to get forgiveness than to ask permission0 -
Well, I had a fabby day at Ikea today buying jars for some of my christmas presents, then shot round to hobbycraft for some more christmas gift supplies
Oh, my!!! I love it in there!!! I have never been as we live about an hour from ikea and then HC is a further 15 mins or so from there!
I have now got most of the things I need to make a start on my ifts and will be starting my christmas makes on my blog from tomorrow
But how dissapointed am I the HC isn't nearer!0 -
hi tranmere
i got my cello cones from ebay, a seller recommended by someone here
i shall have a rumage and see if i can find them again
jars
buying new, i buy from the jam jar shop, their red & white spotty lids are lush
you can lso buy things like smart price mint sauce, its something like 14p a jar
run the jars through the dishwasher of leave to soak
lakeland do gingham lids if you wish to buy new (i never feel the lids come clean enough esp to give as gifts)
bottles are hard
i have never found a source of cheap small bottles in all the years i have made vodkas etc
and reading other threads neither has anyone else
this year for instance
at my daughters student union there was a jack daniels promo
they gave them all a quarter bottle, as they all know me, they all kept them for me
they are cute fancy bottles
but thats a fluke
bottle are very expensive unfortunately0 -
Thanks Midnightraven3. I will get all the family on the case with jars
. I will keep looking for bottles - someone somewhere must do them!!!

I have a wee blog and am not sure if I can post a link on here? I have looked through the rules and can't see an answer.
It's just that I have just started the first of my handmade christmas posts and thought they might be of interest/help to all the lovely handmade christmas crafters here *unsure smiley here*.0 -
homemade - as far as I know you can add your blog to your profile as your ''homepage'' and it'll come up under your name at the side of your post -hope that makes sense;)
