Does anyone have any recommendations on where to get cosmetic colouring? :)

    Hi,
these are who i use for cosmetic colourings,

    http://www.gracefruit.com/
http://www.sensoryperfection.co.uk they sell fantastic fragrance oils also and my favourite website for packaging and cosmetic ingredients (paypal accepted) is http://www.plushfolly.com/
their prices are exceptionally fair for the quality of products.

    Hope this helps :j

i spend most of my time in the kitchen
made sense to make it a crafting living area too

Made 1 out of 3 Sock Monkey's so far. Also doing 2 Towel Cakes and 2 Flannel Reindeer (which are going to be decorations rather than presents but I'll present them to my mum when she's putting out the Christmas stuff.) I'm also making a folding box for my nana's birthday and one for a forum secret santa that I take part in. Everything I've made or put together myself will have a little tag on it saying "Handmade by Me" :)

Do u have a pattern for the sock monkey? and what are the flannel Reindeer?

  • Hi Ladies,
I feel like i've been away for ages, my sons have all been ill and my middle son was taken into hospital with suspected pneumonia  but he's on the mend now,
I can't believe all the fantastic ideas everyone has had and made, Those sock monkeys and the cake soap are amazing, you are both very talented ladies :T

I have made some fabric hearts, recently and bought a heap load of fabric for making the baby shoes and bibs etc, i also got a slipper pattern for making ballet flat slippers, (then hubby bought me a magazine that had exactly the same pattern in it for free :rotfl: sods law eh)

Oh i forgot, i have recently ordered these bits and bobs but just waiting for them to arrive,
Thought i would post incase it inspires anyone else...

    :staradminLove Pills (or friendship,peace,humour etc,):starmod:

I saw this on Etsy http://www.etsy.com/listing/57427744/31-orange-capsule-letter-bottle-set
It's lots of capsules (empty pill ones) with small pieces of paper inside like little letters, in a jar,
Your suppose to write messages on them (i plan to do quotes) and the giftee opens one a day which makes them happy, loved, inspired etc..
I thought it was a gorgeous idea but didn't like the chinese writing on the bottle, so i went and spent £2.10 (postage included)on 100 empty pill capsules
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300471437033&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

I plan to use coloured paper and put it inside, then put 7 days worth into a voile pouch and make a tag for them, and gift them out to members of my family, quotes will be personalised for them (hubby gets rude or lovey ones, :D, cousin gets inspiring, aunt gets family ones etc)

Just thought for anyone doing pill sweeties it would work well as a 'xmas prescription' :rotfl:

  • nice to see you again:D

    i havent made anything
but i did have a eureka moment this morning
i was wanting something big to use as christmas eve hampers for our 3, as i am making them each a quilt with it

got a bedding set, i wanted the comforter & pillows
but there were kingsize sheets (in a weird gold colour:o)

i kept them (you know the "it will come in handy ONE day" senario?)

i shall use them to make hooge santa sacks:)

my list of "to make" is ever increasing!
