sistercas - I've finally got round to checking these Recipes out and want to thank you again for providing the Link - the Boodles biscuits look great and I'm off into the Kitchen in a minute to make these. I've made a note of a couple of the recipes and added the link to my favourites as I'm going to be dipping into these between now and Xmas to keep costs down.

I've found weezl's thread and posted a thank you and just want to say that I think a lot of you would probably love some of these recipes so might be worth checking out.;)

Mum wanted to go shopping today instead of tomorrow as her friend is coming for the day so off we went to T*sco. Our store has changed the position of just about everything over the last 2-3 weeks and no one knows where anything is.
The cost came to £38.77 originally and then I had a £10 off a £30 spend plus DH said he would give me £10 to pay for the sausage, prawns and steak which he wanted so the actual cost to me taken from the GC was just £18.77 another added bonus was that the sausages were £4.00 for a pack with an offer on of 2 packs for £5.00 which we took advantage of so saving £3.00 All sausages are now in the freezer. :T

I am using up some mince beef and cooked tomatoes today that had been frozen by having spaghetti bolognaise for tea and tomorrow we will have fish cakes, salad and a chilli dipping sauce. Already have some smoked fish in the freezer. I am aiming to use things from the freezer for at least 3 days out of 7 so as I can clean them both out and make some room for christmas. Trouble is I then find something to stock it up with that is a bargain like the sausages. Oh well if I can just empty one of them it will help as the one in the shed is in desperate need of defrosting, the one in the kitchen is a lot newer and does it its self.

So total for September so far is £42.12 out of a budget of £160 (bear in mind wasnt a full month for us as was away)
    MARCH £62.38/250

Another 45p spend today as we'd ran out of full fat milk for our baby. It would be more economical for us to all have full fat milk but I can't convince DH to do so.

Failed to make lunch in advance but in an effort to avoid having to buy it made Nut*lla sandwiches. Not very healthy but a one off and save money. Have made extra pasta tonight so so lunch problems tomorrow.

Need to think about weekend shopping and menu plan for next week.

£9.11 spent in Sainsburys yesterday and 58p in Tesco!

I got a massive bottle of Bold gel in Sainsburys as well as SR flour, baking 'butter', a newspaper and 2 bags of Doritos :o I couldn't resist the new flavours. I have had a cold since Saturday and can't taste/smell at the moment, so haven't tried them yet. I also got a box of tissues and a bag of boiled sweets for said cold (don't really like proper throat sweets and find as long as I keep my throat moist i'm ok!) Oh, also got some moisturiser. I usually get mine in Lush, but the tiny pot I get is now about £13 and I just can't justify spending that much anymore so will give this a go and hope it's ok. I'm waiting to be made redundant at the moment (again), so have to be sensible.

The 58p in Tesco was on a baguette and some reduced celery. The baguette was for my soup I made yesterday (no idea if it tasted nice, but it was warm :p) I'm hoping to freeze the celery for soup in the future.
