It's not a new problem for VX nor confined to just the 1.4 engine, 1.6 cavs and astras did the same :eek:I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
Brain fart - it will be an OHC engine so it's just a case of lopping the top cover off, fishing out the broken old bits/changing the oil, and presumably changing the cambelt at the same time (unless a snapped camshaft can cause more damage such as bent valves) so while it sounds nasty it shouldn't cost too much to sort out.0

My old '89 Ford Escort 1.6 did it too, but at least that made it to 12 years, 100,000 miles and the weekend before I started a new job that provided a company car.
Confused the hell out of the RAC guy who couldn't figure out why there was no spark when the distributor and coils were all fine.0 -

assuming no damaged valves it is basically as simple as that to put right with the exception of timing chain making it slightly more time consuming than a cambelt0 -
Didnt i read that Corsa cams are hollow?Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
