    Tge game is up

Visited 8 branches tonight, not one store had any posters up advertising consoles and GOTW, looks like they have surrendered and refusing to take any chances.

    Yes.

Asda will refund the difference and give you a £2 gift card if they overcharge you (but you'll have to ask for the gift card, as CSAs are told not to offer it unless asked by the customer).
An additional note to this is that the £2 gift card applies to EACH item, this is little known even by Asda staff but Head Office will confirm this for you also you should be able to find drop sheets instore but that is doubtufull

Handy to know when the f*ck up on the individual crisp bag price fill your trolley time then.
Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.

Together we can make a difference.

But Asda only charge you the correct amount (usually) and if you let them know of a misprice they correct it - unlike Tesco

    . Ouch!

As usual, you are 100% correct, Ben. Here's the exact wording from asda's site:

What happens if I am overcharged?
If you have been overcharged or undercharged in any of our stores we will gladly refund the difference (if you have been overcharged) and give you a £2 Gift voucher for each product you have been mischarged for.

Please also be aware that you can get the £2 voucher if you have been UNDERCHARGED as well!
I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!
  • By the way, has anyone had any luck in getting the scanners in store that are broken to be repaired so they work again ?
  • But Asda only charge you the correct amount (usually) and if you let them know of a misprice they correct it - unlike Tesco

Not in my -admitedly limited - experience. Overcharged me two weeks running on the same item and I have still yet to see one of these mythical gift cards.

    Well....I was passing....and it was convenient :o

They got the right hump when I pointed out what I would have been entitled to in an other popular supermarket chain
Who or what was I before you came in to my life
    I am not sure

Originally all references to charges were termed mischarge but later amended as Tesco to exclude undercharges as there initially was not sufficient response to undercharges to reap any benefit, of late though since Wallmarts influence there is a far tighter regime and responses as posted above are far more efficient, the big difference being THEY WANT TO GET IT RIGHT.

However I must say they lack in quality somewhat and hygeine can be a question when shopping there.

Had to add a footnote here as I read your post to quickly and I am startled to see they have reverted to the original wording!! Big up Asda

I'm sure someone with your knowledge wouldn't be overcharged twice ?

Unless even with the overcharge it was still cheaper than Tesco
