  • went to three different tesco yesterday and in every store they had removed all posters for games consoles etc.also the shelves were empty where the consoles are.
nevermind still found lots of misprices though will post them on misprice thread.
  • Does anybody else's posts keep getting deleted? Two of mine from yesterday were, and one of them was quite useful, as it contained items that had been posted as mispriced, but which weren't when I tried them yesterday. I can find that somebody else quoted my post to say thanks, but can't find the original post anywhere. Am I going mad???

I think BBC Watchdog might love a story like this. Customers getting banned for spotting illegal overcharging and asking Tesco to honour its advertised policy. Could be disastrous in PR terms.

Dont bite off your nose to spite your face (or whatever that saying is)

Alerting the media in any way might feel good in the short term, but Tesco would soon get over it. In the meantime, there would be thousands and thousands of new people reading this website trying to get in on the act and fill their boots. Any misprices would be almost instantly snapped up everywhere, meaning that me, you and all the other existing r&r's would have a much much harder time finding anything of value.

R&R's should keep their mouths shut - the fewer people that know, the better

Laura, maybe they've been moved to the other thread. This thread is for discussion, the other one is for the actual misprices. Good luck.

I know I check who is on CS when I enter if its the dragon I have been know to turn arround and go home.

    /QUOTE]

This is my problem. In my little Tesco there are only 3 CS and whatever time I go into the store one of them is always maning the desk. And usually there is a huge queue, whatever the problem is they have to run off and check it out with someone, abandoning their posts and the huge queue of waiting people.:rotfl:

  • Ok, inspired by everones success I went to the Seacroft branch in Leeds first to try and bag myself a bargin. Annoyingly they had the GOTW and consoles available for both offers but had rather craftily covered up the £10 off notice with white stickers - I could still see it and was really quite annoyed. Managed to convince my long suffering wife to come with me to the Rhoundhay store - also in Leeds.

There they had no GOTW for the PSP or DS on display - but did show the £10 off display. Once again I was filled with disapointment and rage! In a last ditch attempt I asked the staff milling around if the had any GOTW in stock anywhere else. They opened up the cabinet beneath the stands which contained games, low and behold it was a treasure trove of GOTW! I plucked my copy of Lego Starwars and a silver DS and managed to contain my excitment and the urge to chant "I'm a winner!"

AT the tills things were going great until the till knocked of the £10 discount......

I'd stupidley already got out my wallet and had to pretend to forget my pin no.

Ah well. At least my wife might now have an idea about what I want for x-mas this year...
