Morning chums ,well the washing is half done just one more to put on and then I seem to be straight again more or less.what a rotten 'friend' your poor DD has Mollie.Good job you and your OH could rescue your Dd and get her safely home.
Today is going to be a 'pottering' day but first I have to go to the sorting office for a package I haven't a clue what it is as I can't remember sending off for anything. The sun is typically shining now I am home from my hols but my garden is in dire need of my gary the gardener to come along with his mower ,but that will have to wait until next week as he is on his hols at the moment .Just had some spray stuff delivered called 'spider stop' from Bettaware I am hoping it will deter the little blighters next month .Right onwards and upwards folks I hope everyone has a good bank holiday most of mine will be catching up on chores and a bit of t.v. I think.

            Morning all
Bit of a slow start this morning but DH has been deposited to work and I've had toast, painkillers and a coffee, We had blue skies this morning but its starting to cloud over and it's quite blowy...September it waiting in the wings.
WM done the first load of the day but think i'm pretty much caught up - new TD actually dries the clothes! Amazing - the old one must have been dicky for a good while.
Got my new electric scales out of the box this morning (got them from Mr A a coule of weeks ago) and they dont bloomin work  I dont have the receipt now but I'm going to chance my luck. I have an old set that used to belong to my mum but DH lent them to his cousins wife and she hasn't returned them.
Tried to make some greek yoghurt using a tub for starter and UHT milk and while it did thicken its not yoghurt! i've mixed some berry topping through it and bunged it in the freezer - might as well see if that works before I bin it! Got some mixes from Lakeland so I'm going to make up some next.
Still can't decide what to do today - I fancied baking but I over done things a little yesterday so I'm quite sore. Might do my shopping list and pop out for a few bits and then snuggle down for the day Climbing back on the OS wagon after a short vacation to Recklessness Climbing back on the OS wagon after a short vacation to Recklessness

Morning all..........................(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))0 if you need one.
Lie in this morning and brekkie iin bed, managed to get my feet on the floor about 10am. I had to take painkillers last night, I b******d myself up cleaning yesterday. Was hoping to have the house back to rights today, BUT thanks to the insulation people not turning up the guest room is still a right mess....gggggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I made some cranberry muffins, cooked borlotti beans to go in with the beef stew, they had been soaking for 2 days, thought it was tie I cooked them. Its not a bad morning so a line of washing out and morning tea in the garden, not sure how much longer we are going to be able to sit out.....
Chopped some of our wood into smaller pieces, our new stove takes smaller bits than the old one, had to empty the ash pan this morning, only used to doing that once a fortnight with the old one........
Its the local village show this afternoon, so will have a wander down the village and have a butchers, one of OH's bowling friends will be there......
It started off quite a bright morning, but it keeps clouding over, hope any rain holds off until my wadshing is dry, although I can pout it on the airer and leave it in the sitting room when we go to bed, it will dry overnight.
We plan to go to the market tomorrow for a new axe and a grinding stone to keep it sharp, the one we have from wilko's needs sharpened........
 Almost lunch time, HM bread, cheese and pickle I think, stovies tonight......Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0

Tappers! I get my eyeborws done in Debenhams in a Beauty Plus place. Costs £13. It hurts when it's done just a little bit. My brows are always really red for about an hour afterwards. But it;s worth it. I'm dark (but pale skin!) so my brows really stand out. I honestly can't keep up with the tweezers!
Essex Girl. Please come & clean my oven! I did it a few weeks ago but it's still a bit grotty. I did it a few weeks ago but it's still a bit grotty.
Right, DH hung out a load of washing while I was out, as instructed! He also put our bedding in. That's just finished so off to put that on the line.
 laters!

            Afternoon all,
Holiday washing done and hopefully will be dry later....not much really after just 3 days.
Found a bag of 2 year old walnuts in a cupboard today ( from DB's tree) shelled them and about a third of them were fine, so have nuts for my favourite walnut and coffee cake...will make one to-morrow. There is a huge crop on tree this year, so will be foraging when they are ripe next month. Not my favourite nuts really but when they are free am not going to turn up my nose!
Got my nice pink bike from SIL this morning, I haven't cycled for best part of 40 years so the remarks all round have been funny....I'll show the b***ers!
Had my eyebrows threaded when I was in London last winter....very painful but so fast that I didn't mind...now have them waxed as unsure where I could have them threaded here....will try Debenhams Mrs MH, thanks for tip.
Lamb shops with potatoes which have yet to come out of garden for dinner, will have mushrooms and green beans with them, some stewed apple and ice-cream for pudding.
Going to knit for a bit soon, although I suppose I should look after dinner....we had a late breakfast with some of the lovely black pudding we bought on way home yesterday, OH did them with fried apples as he saw someone do on a cookery programme, they were delicious with the rye bread I remembered to put in BM last night before I went to bed, nice to have warm, fresh bread in the morning.
Molly...sorry that your DD's experience wasn't a good one, hopefully she will go again to-morrow and have a good time.
Sile still missing...she resents my going away and disappears for a few days, poor Thunder is missing her, but at least he has Kerry to play with!
Congratulations on exam result Essex girl.
 Hugs to all
