    Good Morning,

The weather looks promising today again. Molly, your poor daughter, and what a rotten friend to do that to her. Hopefully she will go and enjoy the music on Sunday.

My laptop is playing funny beggars, it threw me out last night whilst I was in the middle of posting on one of the Boards here, and won't let me back in, so I've commandeered OH's for a wee while. I've just payed his parking ticket for him, so there had better be no moaning! He's only driven for just over two years and has had four parking tickets! I have driven since 1991 and never had one. Enough said.

Plans for today are to take DS1 to local youth club thing, which is specifically for P7's, his friends are apparently all going, so I will take him for an hour and see if they are there, and if he settles. If so, I will then pop to the Credit Union and see about oining up. My sister thinks it's fab, and as I want a new suite this winter, I thought it would be good to have the savings for that somewhere completely seperate and fairly difficult to access. Afterwards, we needs to go buy a gift for his friends birthday, he is off laser tagging tonight to celebrate that, so a few houre peace and quiet will be had. We will take DS2 out somewhere for a treat while he's on his own. Little one has a football match this orning, so dad will be going there with him. Oops, there's no OS in that at all, is there? Well, I have a washing on and one to hang out, if that's any use?

Hugs to all the poorlies and worried, have a gorgeous day!

Shame about the Reading wash-out - hope she managed to enjoy at least some of it before she called!

Waiting for a parcel today, and they've given me very helpful delivery times - somewhere between 7am and 5pm... Handy! Not got much further ahead than planning today than the morning coffee, and a vague thought about breakfast though lol. The sun's finally come out properly today, so fingers crossed, this parcel will turn up nice and early, and I can get out and enjoy it for a while! Want to get some baking done later, and when I go out, there's a couple of bits I need to pick up ready for the start of term at uni, all the stationary bits etc. Might do some ebay/craft listings too, see if I can sift some of my leftover craft fair stuff and make myself a bit...

Hope everyone has a lovely Saturday

    Lucy :)

    Morning :hello:

    Glad your daughter's OK, Molly.

The mini-trus went out last night, I probably won't see them again til tomorrow night. So a peaceful weekend for us :D

Yesterday I printed off loads of stickers and inserts (with my new name) for my cards. Today I have to take the cards out of the cello bags to stick them all on, then re-pack them all. That should keep me quiet for most of the day :D

Maisie and Daisy have settled in quite well. Before they arrived we were getting between 6-8 eggs per day, it went down to 5, it's now back up to 7. They and a couple of the older girls were a bit stressed so they stopped laying for a few days.

Mr tru made an apple pie yesterday, there was a bit of leftover pastry so he cut an apple shape and stuck it on top. It looks a bit like an apple, but I think it's more like a Playboy bunny :rotfl:

I picked up an application form from The Works, for a supervisor job. The manager was arranging books near the entrance, I was stood outside, staring in, thinking "do I or don't I?" (miss tru has applied for the same job and it feels a bit strange, going up against her). In the end I went in, mostly because I thought if he spots me out here staring for too long then I ask for a job, he'll think I'm a weirdo and say no :D It'll probably be no good though, turns out it's part time. Which would be OK normally - actually I'd prefer that - but no good if mr tru loses his job. Most part time shop jobs seem to be 12 hours per week, or worse, zero hour contracts. Can't claim tax credits with those hours.

    Morning all,

Its bright and beautiful here :j, feels like its been raining forever, needless to say the washing maching will be doing overtime today :D

OH has gone to the boot sale, and dd is still in bed, so all peaceful here, for the moment.

Today OH and I will fit the skirting in the spare room, and get the blinds and curtain rods up, oh and I meant to say the other day he bought home 4 victorian ceramic hooks for the door :T, the house they are doing up is owned by a very wealthy lady who wants everything to be authentic, so she bought these hooks, and decided they were not right, so told the lads to chuck them, OH asked if he could bring them home and she said yes :T, there are more to come, but I have enough for the back of the door, which saved me a few bob. So all those little bits will be done today.

If we get time later I would not mind popping out to Lidl to stock up on washing Liquid, and to have a look at the duvets in BHS (have decided on a fibre one, thanks all xx)

Dinner tonight will be sausage casserole, which I will shove in the sc, and let it do its thing, I really need to find a sc which has 2 seperate cooking dishes in, so that I can do dd'd veggie in one bit, and out meat in the other, will have a look online in a moment.

Molly, your poor dd, I hope it has not put her off, and I would be furious with her friend , I always drum it into my dd when she goes out to stick together, I hope she is ok xx

Ok better get on, have good days all xx

MrsMH - I too have subo eyebrows and am forever going at them with the tweezers:D never tried threading - whats it like? mine grow back really quickly so I need something that lasts a bit.

    plans for today are -

am waiting in for some freecyclers to come and pick my damsons(we dont like them so offered them on freecycle rather than let them go to waste - just hope they are ripe enough)
Have cleaned and tidied, WM is on - its sunny here:j

Raining here - those in Glasgow had better make the most of the weather, no sunshine here!

Put the washing on the airer and will do more later. Have DS1 and GF here too so it was a full house for tea - the chicken we had was stripped to the bone, don't really think it was meant to feed 5 (two of those 6ft something men)!

Not much planned here today, will wait to see who is doing what when they wake up but need to get fruit and veg at some point. There is a new B & M opened not too far from here so may combine that with a trip to Lidl.

Molly, your DDs friend needs a few strong words, I would be raging if that happened to my DD but at least she had the sense to phone you. Hope she does go on Sunday and enjoys herself.

Have a good weekend all. XX

I had it done once and it hurt like b*ggery  I could feel the hairs falling like snow over my face. They did a wonderful job and my eyebrows never looked better but for me it was too painful :o
Mind you it didn't help that I went during a lunchtime when I worked in Brum. Being naturally fair that sort of extreme plucking leaves me very red and I had to walk back through town with flaming red eyebrows - gosh I looked a sight :rotfl::rotfl:

Morning all + thanks for all the birthday wishes yesterday.

Molly- what a shame for your daughter, its horrible looking forward to something for ages and then it all goes wrong. My 2 sons love festivals, but tend to go in a mixed group of quite a few friends,I always tell them to keep an eye on the girls.(oops...I mean the ones they go with!)

DB and SIL called last night to bring a card and pressie,so we had a good chat, nice to see them. They usually bring their dog,so its a good socialisation for ours too.

JG- don't think there'll be much OS going on here today either. Not sure about going into Manchester, the heavens opened here while out with the dog and I got soaked so don't fancy walking round too much.Although I think the idea after lunch is to sample the pubs, some of them are very traditional and Old Style,so does that count ? ;).
JO- glad you & your family enjoyed the IOW.I went on a school hol there when I was 10- it felt a long way on a coach from the NWest, espec with the ferry-seemed like going abroad to me :D

Well, better go and have a shower,I just shoved my jeans on to take the dog out first, just as well as my hair is now wet through.Think DH is lighting the woodburner,he's cold. He's using bits of offcuts from work so thats OS too.Glad yours is in Csarina, looks good.
    Take care ,bye for now.x
PS. edited to wish Master Taplady lots of luck for the interview next week.

    Morning everyone

Glad your daughter is ok Molly, some friend eh

I used to have trouble with my eyebrows but due to overplucking in the 70s (and the fact some are grey) my problem is the other way now, I sometimes wonder where they are:rotfl:

We are decorating this weekend, so far this morning I have filled in a few cracks in the walls and emptied the lounge as much as I can. Next job is to take the curtains down (wondering if I dare wash them, think they might either, shrink or get so creased I wouldn't want to put them up again) Then I need to wash all the skirtings, door frames etc.

OH is at work but due home lunch time with the paint. Have a half gammon joint in the slow cooker so guess we will be eating that sometime today, what with I don't know yet.

Seems to be brightening up a bit here, just seen a bit of blue sky so might stick some washing in, hmmm just looked out of other window and it is black, and I mean black! so maybe not, will wait to see what tomorrow brings.

Enjoy your Saturday, whatever you are doing xx
