Blankie is finished!

Options
I didn't want to cause problems in the Daily Thread by posting this there, but I so wanted to show off my knitted sofa blankie that I finished yesterday. :D

Its not intended to be a chair or sofa cover, but rather something you can pull over your knees on a chilly morning, or evening, while sipping a hot chocolate and eating crumpets. :D

All the wool was 100% donated by friends, family and freecyclers - and its only the second thing I've EVER, in 47 years, (the first thing was a scarf!) managed to knit, so forgive me if I'm proud of it. :T
:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:

  • Thats great...well done!! :)

You might just encouraged me to start knitting again (uuummm well i've only ever made one thing before lol).
  • It's lovely well done!
  • That looks great - you must have put a lot of work into that. I'm such a slow knitter that no-one will ever get that kind of thing out of me. The last time I tried was when I was expecting my eldest and knitted him a cardigan. I've got as far as the back and one sleeve, but since he's just turned eighteen I'm not anticipating seeing him wearing it now if I ever get done :) My own sofa/ picnic blanket is made from an assorted collection of scrounged bar towels sewn together - I guess I'll just have to settle for not having the same class or stamina that you do :)
Eek! Someone's stolen my signature!

Well done, you must be really proud!
It's lovely BTW - my memories of HM knitted blankets in our family (think 70s) are of luminous scald-your-eyeballs type colours thrown together which, quite frankly, looked like technicolour vomit! Yours is very understated & easy on the eye balls. Hope it becomes an heirloom to pass down through the generations.
  • Well done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :T :T :T :T :T :T
