That's really good, well done you. I am still on the stage of taking my hand off the needle for every stitch. I'll put my name down on the long list of requests for one please!

Haven't a clue where you could get a pattern from I just did squares in West Ham colours
I have knitted all of my seven grandchildren their own 'blankies' over the years .My eldest Grandson is an ardent Hammers fan and I knitted him one in West Ham colours when he was about 8.He is 16 now and whenever he feels a bit iffy out comes his 'blankie' and Granny wraps him up on the sofa and feeds him hot chocolate and toast. He is 5ft 11ins and I am a half pint 5ft 4ins.but he still loves his 'cosy' and a dollop of TLC.The two grandaughters have diamond shaped harlequin patterned ones and the boys all chose what colours they wanted. One of them wanted scarlet and royal blue (superman shades )
They are so easy to knit, and if you do it whilst watching t.v. it doesn't get too boring.
So anyone out there who wants to have a go if you don't know how ,find an old woman at least 60+ in the neighbourhood and I guarantee she will know how to knit .It was what everyone did during and after the war. Even my brothers learnt to knit. :j
  • Well done you, looks lovely and snuggly, just the job for dark winter nights when you get straight home and put your jarmys on!

Last year i made sausages, draught excluders, they were dead easy, found it comforting sewing. Even made a couple for me nan too, she was well impressed..
RIP Floyd - 19/04/09. I know i'll see you again my best friend forever.
