Healthy Living Direct Warning

They take your money even if the items are not in stock and won't be in stock for months.
They expect you to wait for items to come back in stock before the rest of the order is sent.
Having waited nearly a month and after several e-mails, managed to get them to send the items that are in stock but said they could take up to 14 days.
When I complained about taking my money when stock wouldn't be back in until November, the woman said they are entitled to. When I said I wonder what office of fair trading would say about it she said there was nothing they could do about it and was generally very rude.

Avoid them like the plague.

  • I wish I had read your message before I spent £35.91 before Christmas. The £9.99 demister doesn't work/ the Thaw Quick for freezers needs an hour, the £9.99 windproof umbrella never arrived and after one email with an unreturnable address, my emails are ignored. what can I do?
It's a discount company completely disinterested in providing for their customers.
    Help!

Here's another warning about this company which also trades as Inspired Choices, Affordable Choices and Aspirations.

If you receive one of their brochures and attempt to order items from it on line rather than through their rip-off 0844 call-centre, you are not likely to get the same deal promised in the brochure, even if you enter the special code on the order form attached to the brochure.

There was an item priced at £7.99 in the brochure received on Sat 1/10/11 but when I went to order it on line it was £9.99. So-called Customer Services had the cheek to claim that I was ordering from an old brochure and when I denied that they said as I had agreed to pay the £9.99 on the website they would not correct the over-charge nor cancel the item.

I now have the option of returning the stuff (if and when it arrives) at my own expense or keeping it. Meanwhile it's a win-win situation for them as they have taken the money from my card already.
  • Healthy Living Direct sent a parcel to my dad 5 weeks ago the problem with that is my dad died 2 years ago, I have phoned them 4 times to come and collect it but they have not done so, I spoke to a supervisor and she said that they had no record of it they can not seem to understand that my dad could not have ordered it. I am fed up with having to repeat it all 4 times just so they will come and pick it up, I do pity the person that did order it because it was all paid for, why have customer service if you just going to ignore everyone that phones it. I will never use a company that treats people like this.
  • after reading all the negative reviews about healthylivingdirect I thought it only fair to give them a positive review, I ordered a couple of meerkats off the company and received them in a week of cheque being cashed the said items worked perfectly as did the free clock they sent, so here is one happy customer and I would buy from them again ..
  • Ordered items 5 weeks ago - Took 2 weeks to reply to my email complaint about the delay -Just been advised that 2 items are out of stock and they don't know when they will be back in stock!

Going to contact my credit card company to get a refund as I don't trust them to do that.

I wouldn’t order from these people even if they had an item I really wanted. They were originally used once by my mother who passed away in 2011. Being as I was still receiving mail addressed to my mother I wrote to them asking to take her off the list. They did eventually stop sending them to my mother, but then soon realised they had started putting my name on their mail!

Shame there isn’t a free post address otherwise I’d send in back in shredded pieces.
  • shred it and send it back anyway...they'll be left to pay the postage ....I've done that often when these companies don't take no for an answer
  • 7 weeks and 2 emails later my wife's 3x skirts have not arrived, they have been sitting on the money all this time. Cashflow problems? What cashflow problems ??!! Certainly not for this Company. Tried phoning the expensive 0871 number "all of or customer service personnel are busy .... blah blah blah" ... I'm not surprised with the number of complaints they must be getting! Depending on their response to my third email, cancellation / refund is the next step.... that could be an uphill struggle if their past performance is anything to go by.

These people are beyond inefficient and verging on plain crooked.
  • Ring 01377 232330 and ask for Customer Services.

I looked up this number on https://www.saynoto0870.com
  • I ordered about 6 items in mid January and the money was taken on the 28th from my account. Nothing was heard from them until I phoned on February 14th ( expensive call ). I was promised delivery within fourteen days and they refunded my carriage charge, by cheque not BACS. Sent email on March 14th and cancelled, asking for a total refund. Still nothing received March 29th but I'm still getting their wretched catalogues. So now I take the addressed envelope out of the mailing, put in some of the enclosures and post back to them without a stamp. Bit petty but I feel I'm getting my own back !
