I applied for it over the t'internet so if they dont give me the full amount I will ring or e-mail them. I do have 8k in savings which i could transfer over and leave in there for a month .....would that work?"He's a maniac, maniac that's for sure,

Ive been told (and what has happened so far), is that you are given £500, when the student loan goes in they can up it to £1000, then only after 3 months of account conduct can they then up it to upto the full amount. I was told no one is offered more than £1000 in their first 3 months but this doesnt appear to be the case reading this thread.0

If thats the case they should clearly advertise the above when they say that you can get £2750 so people are not misled!"He's a maniac, maniac that's for sure,

Yes they should, The person I spoke to asked how much I would like and I said well if possible the full amount, but at least above what I would get staying with my natwest student account of £1400. Then she told me that unfortunatly within the first 3 months the most they can offer is the £1000 and if I wanted to go ahead with that or I guess not and cancel. (authough she didnt say to cancel, but it seemed implied).
Ill give it 3 months, I mean in theory if I get the £2750 in 3 months then id be happy enough. But shall see. I might enquire in branch too.0 -

Hmmm I have applied online. Do you know if it will make any difference to the amount I will get for the overdraft? I presume they use the same credit scoring system for both ways so I dunno!
I rang them today and they said as I am in yr 3 they would match the overdraft abbey are giving me."He's a maniac, maniac that's for sure,

Yeah you are right maybe once I have applied and there are any problems I can go in and speak to someone in the branch to see if the OD can be extended."He's a maniac, maniac that's for sure,
