If it was my sister I think I would have to say something. It is unfair that he expects you to stay quiet about it IMO.
One day I might be more organised...........

I wouldn't tell her. This has the potential to blow up in your face. As much as it obviously irks you to see him doing nothing all day whilst your sister is working hard I thinkyou should keep your own counsel. There may come a time when she asks for your help and your opinion but I don't think this is it.

Just to make things clear I would not be doing it because I dont like my sister I have nothing personally to gain from telling her.

No I dont like him because I dont think he treats women(based on a previous incident when he tried to bully me, my sister and my two young nieces) very well and I definatley dont like him taking my sister for a mug....I give people the benefit of the doubt until they prove otherwise and he has more than done that.

The point wasnt that she works full time and then works on the house it was that he does sod all in comparision to her

My whole family knows what he is like from experiences they have had with him so its not just me but I will be the only one to say something to her the rest will keep quiet as I have

  • Tell her! This sounds like one of those scenarios where he racks up a load of debts trying to make money without doing any real work. This could land your sis in financial trouble for a long time

It must be fairly obvious from even watching telly, that many properties even the worst ones get turned around and back on the market within a couple of months. She must know theres something not right .

in saying that what sort of profit is he turning. If hes turning a 35k profit from doing scratch all weeks on end then good on him, thats a years salary I guess in IT?

But if your sis is genuinely of the opinon he is grafting ( she has eyes, she must be able to see what progress is being made day & night, esp as she is working on it too) then yeah initiate a chat about it. she must know you can see his comings & goings if the house is opposite.

I think though its whgolly unreasistic that she doesnt know about what progress is/ isnt being made. So you may end up looking like a stirrer. casual chat yes, your OHs a layabout, no.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Yeah - that would really help. I think your husband is a lazy so and so and have been discussing it on a public forum!
