5 a day, I know I should, but I don't always do so. I probably spend around £5a week, but then I get a 25% student discount at the local grocers. For this, I can buy enough apples, bananas and peaches for the week (not keen on many other fruits), one cucumber, four large potatoes, couple of tomatoes. Obviously, if I want something like grapes or strawberries, it costs a bit more, so I only have something like that maybe once a month.'We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time. Bean sprouts are brilliant in the winter. much better than buying all that out of season salad.
I've just come from Tesco and noticed that had a toastie maker in their value range. Looks like I am going to Tesco again!

Remember that the younger a child is, the smaller the portion has to be, so don't worry if you have a 2 year old who only eats half an apple. That still counts!
Gillian McKeith? I've seen her show twice and my impression is that she's being too extreme in the change of diets. As mentioned earlier, it's an expensive way to do it and she seems to use out of season food. Fine if it works for you, but I think slow and steady wins the race. A new healthy meal once a week and build up to the change.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
we find fruit and veg much cheaper from the market, for about ten pounds we get bananas, apples, cherries, mushrooms, peppers, potatoes, plums, carrots, brocolli, onions etc. much cheaper than supermarkets IMO0

I managed to get down to the market again this week and was amazed by how much fruit and veg I managed to get, 12 apples, 3 hands of bananas, 1 large punnet of mushroom, 1 large bag carrots, 1 bag parsnips and 2 large cucumbers cost me £3.50. A further 6lb of cooking apples cost me £2.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things
