What colour is 100?

You know how 25 years is silver and 50 years is golden. Is there any colour associated with 100 years?
My ex's Grandad is 100 in November. I still keep in touch with him with the odd letter and he always sends money for my boys at Christmas. I wanted to buy something special to mark his birthday.
He is still fit and spends most days in his garden where he grows a lot of his own food and enjoys his plants. I thought I might look for a rose bush with a name relating to 100 years.
Any other suggestions appreciated. He doesn't have any hobbies apart from his garden and an old lady's garden. She is too frail to cope with the garden and he can't be bothered to cook, so she feeds him in return for his gardening services

A one hundred year anniversary is a Centenary. I don't know it that refers to birthdays as well.
How about getting him a nice frame to put his card from the queen in!
