It confused the hell out of me for starters but I think it's probably the best feature now as it will alert you to the actions of any new piece of software and give you the option to leave it sandboxed (where it can't naff up your machine) or allow it to continue as a trusted program.

You can always set the Advanced Defense + Settings to "clean pc mode" so it trusts the actions of all existing installed programs if you are sure that it is and that removes most of the annoyance it can cause.
