I've been round the lot, but currently running Microsoft's offering on Win 7 and have to say I quite like it. It has picked up a few bits and pieces that I threw at it on purpose so I'm happy enough with it.

BUT, I also recommend that you read the thread linked to in post 6 so that you can make an informed choice.

Comodo. been uising it for 9 months now. No problems but the sandbox is very confusing- so i've disabled it.
  • Avira anyone? Tops the charts in detection rate and when it comes down to it you want your AV to be the best at detecting viruses.

on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)

I'd disagree, if you're looking for reliability in having an anti virus that DOESN'T work and detects zero to no spyware then AVG is extremely reliable :D

Had MS Essentials ... PC hanging all the time till the antivirus decided it was finished every single day.... and it wasn't on auto update ... got rid of it ... now have Avira and like it .... doesn't slow my system and is basic to understand so that you don't have to have a degree in computing to use it.
