I forget exactly what it was I found it slowed to a crawl (may have been backing up a USB pendrive with loads of small files to a NAS but I really can't remember for sure) whatever it was I think it would still have been running had I not given MSE the heave ho.
All antivirus will have some impact and offer some level of protection. You need to try several and settle upon whatever the best compromise is for you personally. I've been through all of the MSE recommended options and am currently using Comodo antivirus without the firewall. So fat it's fine but as I've only been trying it few days I can't offer any recommendation.0 -
