Ok, have read the other thread and it seems taking it back to your Argos isn't going to be possible.
Shame you didn't think of this when you first got refused as you could have taken it back with you then.

I suggest selling it on eBay...

Whether or not the OP's posted another thread on the same topic... I still think this is quite a pointless thread.

Basically it's saying "Warning! Some stores are good, some aren't". OK.... now tell us something interesting ;)

They're right sh1ts, those leprechauns. You certainly won't get a refund off of one of them.

I had a run in with the Spalding store, had a faulty item and the manager refused to do anything as i had no packaging !

Took it back to Boston with no problem.

One day the shops will say "enough is enough" and withdraw their goodwill returns policies. How many times have you witnessed some poor sales assistant being shouted at by a customer banging on about knowing their rights when actually, they haven't a clue about their legal rights they just want their own way?

Not as many times as i've seen people proclaim they're in the right on MSE when they dont have a legal leg to stand on :rotfl:

I know some of you can't resist viewing my Argos threads and replying so here's another for your enjoyment.

I have now received a refund from Argos and an apology and a gift voucher.

Thanks to those who replied helpfully, much appreicated.

Thanks to those who gave various other replies, some of which made me chuckle.

Enough is enough though so will end this post here and suggest we all call it a day. Promise never to post about Argos again.

Have a good bank holiday everyone. :)
