    It is fitted to the very bottom edge of the screen and does not restrict forward visibility of the road. See this diagram which I made a while back when this same topic came up at another forum (ie. the sarcasm isn't directed at you)

    I don't have a picture of it, and can't be bothered to go out in the cold and get one, but see this picture which shows some of the other crap on my dashboard:

    This picture was taken from lower down than the drivers eye level. it's actually level with the top of the steering wheel. Note how neither the gauge pod, nor the heads up display device block anything other than the bonnet. The satnav is only a bit higher up and I sit a fair bit higher up.

    Strange thing is, if your screen has a reasonable size chip in it, within a given area, it will fail an MOT.;)
