I'd rather be on a motorway than a single track road
    +1

I'd rather like to see a feature in Sat Navs which will avoid single track roads.

On my holidays in Cornwall/Devon/Wales, I've often been pushed into single track roads by my sat nav.

I use a map so it's my decision what roads I use.

Map does not show if a road is single track either!

Memorise the main details, occasionally stop to look, sometimes take a sneaky look as driving.

Well I have never ended up down a single track road using my Road Atlas, unlike many Sat Nav users.;)

I've never gone down a single track road while following my satnav unless I wanted to.

You are free to ignore directions it gives you, or tell it "avoid the next 1/4 mile" and then it will choose a different road.

But, not all Sat Nav users are as savvy as you, many would drive in the ocean if it told them to.:D
