I've been with Virgin and it's predecessors for 11 years.

I am not happy about paying five pounds more per month. When I called to downgrade from their Premiere package to Essentials I was told I'd save a whopping four pounds per month and get the privilege of being locked into a new 12 month contract.

    Not good enough.

Downgrading does not start a new minimum term, you need to speak to some one else there.
