Hello, sorry I haven't posted much here yet. Because I stopped taking the pill in the new year, my cycle is rather confusing and all over the place still. First bleed was at the normal time that i'd have my 7 day break, the following month i was a week late, then last month about 3 days earlier then expcted. And now I'm waiting for my period for this month, so far just a couple of days late. How long does it take for the pill to get out of your system/cycle to settle down?

I have been feeling really unwell for the past few days, as if my period was about to start. I had stabbing pains/twinges in my right hand side, and lower back ache and so on. But nothing yet. The backache makes me feel a bit sick. Can't wait for it to be over now.

Nothing exciting to add I'm afraid!

Fair enough. :) Maybe I was thinking about the whole placenta taking over making a difference to symptoms? Ah well, I'll find out for myself one day ;)
I don't think the placenta forms that quickly. I'm fairly sure I've read something about the placenta taking over from the corpus luteum wrt hormone production by 13 weeks and there's a theory that that it why most people's sickness goes away around then.

  • Hi all,

Will read back and catch up with everyones posts later on, but just had to post as I was quite excited!! I have EWCM! :j:j

I realise this is not normally that exciting, but I was feeling quite down today and impatient and with the assistance of googling (I know, I know, I shouldn't have..) I had myself convinced that I wasn't ovulating at all.

Silly I know, but I've never been so chuffed after a toilet trip!

    Hugs all xx

must_try_harder-Yes, im definately going to be doing some excercise. I think i'm a bit too shy for pole dancing though :o
It's nice to hear you are small too and got pregnant ok.
    No AF yet!

Bigzippy-The break has been good thankyou. I found TTC was all I could think about and I feel so much more relaxed now!Well done on the weight you have lost, could I have it please :D

Smash7-I am getting married in 3 months and we are hoping to move so i'm concentrating on them now!

Always the busy bee- I got ill at Christmas and was eating so little and I have slowly started eating more so hopefully I can continue! I have changed to full fat milk so I will have to start having an extra glass a day or have the shakes.

Loopylaura-Think i'll pass on the bottom fat! :phehe. I will look into the Whey protein.

    Tinksy-I've just watching misbehaving mums...one word...shocking!!

Keza-I'm glad AF has arrived after so long! I'm hoping I don't get to CD90 again.

I love holidays-I hope the doctor can help.

QQ-I really hope this is your month. I was wondering if you will stick around when you get your BFP, I don't know what we would all do without you!! :)

Just wondering what other people eat for lunch? I usually just have a sandwich, but they get a bit boring. I just want something that's easy to make can be good for me and good for my OH who is trying to lose weight if that's possible!

I'm tempted to join the secret FB group but i'm scared i'll know someone on there :o

I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend

    Evening Ladies,

    How are you all?

Things are on the up here, got a nice BD in late last week without any more sahara problems thankfully. Think I was tired and dehydrated last time.

Having been researching the whole ovulation thang on t'interweb and I think I am due to be fertile next week. AF last visited me on 8th April - does this make me CD9?

    Does that sound reasonable?

    Thanks and SBDTA!!

    Sorry, I wasn't very clear - that's what I was on about :)

I usually have something on toast (cheesy beans is a fave, likewise cheesy scrambled eggs, tuna/sardines/salmon/any oily fish really on toast (under the grill) is really tasty too - DH puts cherry tomatoes on with it too to grill in with it), or soup and toast, when butties aren't appealing (which is most of the time, unless it's the "right" soft bread and I haven't made it! lol). I tend to have "toasties" (toast, with filling, bunged in the mic for 20 seconds, then turn over and mic for 10seconds ;)) rather than butties too. Or what about omlettes? They're pretty quick and simple? Other than that it's all about the leftovers ;)

Keelykat I think the pill thing is a hard one to answer because each pill type is different, and each person is different. Some birds come off the bill and get pg first cycle, some take a year to settle down...seems to be luck of the draw I'm afraid :o

Ooooh my temp has gone through the roof - highest it's ever been since I started temping! :D

Only thing is, we didn't BD yesterday, so I'm really hoping that if I ov'd, it was on friday.

Have a good day all! :)

    Hi Keely,

I came off the pill in June/July time last year - My cycle was pretty much normal the first month, then I had a long month, followed by a short month .... It varies from person to person but it has taken me 8 months for my cycle to get into a bit of a pattern. I found that I felt ill because of the real hormones kicking back in ....

Do you know if you ovulated and how many days past you are?

    Morning all!!
Looking to be another lovely day here, debating going to the garden centre and planting some veggies with ds. Only problem is he gets impatient when they haven't grown after ten minutes!
Well, I had an eventful night, woke up at 3am with tummy ache which after an hour turned into diawoowoo. And again at 6am, feel fine now though, so have no idea what that was about. We had home made pizza last night and I did wonder if it was the chicken, but dh is fine!
